  1. Zenith! Your saying Nakama wrong. The emphasis is on the first syllable. "Na"kama.

You had the same problem in your Gurren Lagann observation. You kept saying Simon with the emphasis on the O when it's suppose to be on the i.

  2. Pleasw ignore that last comment. My phone was acting up.

I apologize for the mispronunciation. While I have studied Japanese in college, I am a native English speaker and this I may mispronounce words. I will say Nakama correctly from now on and work to prevent this in the future. Sorry again.

  3. This is great! I really like how you have broken down the episode to show us different things about Luffy's character and personality. I agree with a lot of what you said, he can be extremely selfless but definitely is not a saint. It bothers me at times, but it also makes him seem that much more real.

Thank you for pointing out Luffy's intelligence. Even though he acts dumb at times, he generally has a good grasp of what's important and gets to the heart of the matter very quickly. Luffy is a really good captain and people tend to underestimate him because of his quirks and eccentric personality.

You mentioned that Luffy is really good at reading people for two reasons and pointed out that one would come up much later. I was wondered exactly what you meant since I'm having a hard time remembering.

The last scene with Colby was my favorite of the whole episode. It confused me at first but when I realized what he was doing I was really impressed with Luffy. He truly cares about his friends even if they aren't on his crew and will do whatever he can to help them achieve their dreams, even if that makes them the "enemy" later on like Colby is.

I know that I'm commenting on this really, really late, but I wanted you to know that I greatly enjoyed this analysis and hope that you will do more in the future. Thank you for giving me greater insight into Luffy and helping me learn something new
