Oh no, Luffy's cover has been blown! Don Chinjao holds a grudge against Garp for giving him scars and wants to take it out on Luffy, while Luffy keeps trying to convince Cavendish that he isn't who Chinjao says he is.
But before Cavendish gets to behead Luffy, Chinjao attempts to headbutt Luffy into the ground but misses. Cavendish aims his legendary sword at Chinjao because he's in the way while Chinjao goes for another headbutt.
ANYTHING BUT THE BEARD!
The two clash and surprisingly, the sword doesn't go through Chinjao's head but Cavendish still manages to keep his balance showing off his strength. Luffy gets mad and pounds Chinjao into the ground. While no damage seems to have been done, Chinjao starts getting angry too (even his beard starts going Super Saiyan for a bit).
Chinjao's subordinates Sai and Boo stop him from attacking further since they could get disqualified if things get out of hand. Sure enough the guards arrive to see what the commotion was all about and Luffy seems to have ran off, so Cavendish chases after him but Sai and Boo tell Chinjao to wait until the Battle Royale to crush him.
Maintain that disguise Luffy GO! GO!
The news of Luffy being in the tournament is being discussed amongst the contenders, when we see that Luffy is hiding by holding onto the brick wall surrounding the inside of the Colosseum. The announcer shouts out that Tank (commander of the Dressrosa Self Defence Army) is down and out thanks to the duo of Abdullah and Jeet who both seem quite slimey.
We're also informed that hundred contestants have been eliminated from the match and only 30 remain. Abdullah and Jeet get their just desserts thanks to Bellamy, while the Fishman Hack is taking down several contenders with his Fishman Karate.
I REALLY hate to admit this because its Bellamy...but that was cool.
Bartolomeo on the other hand isn't taking the fight seriously, he even urinates outside the ring in front of everyone. Gross! Hack has had enough of this and tries to attack with a 4000 Brick fist but his attack is mysteriously blocked...and his arm gets severely cut....what?
The chapter ends with everyone in shock at this and wondering just what the hell Bartolomeo just did, as do I.
If this just turns out to be Haki, I'll be disappointed.
Lots of things going on this chapter with Luffy being discovered and attacked by two different men for different reasons, more mayhem in the battle royale itself. Not really much else I can say really except, I liked this chapter. Well that and it was pretty cool to see that Cavendish isn't all talk and is actually stronger than I expected.
Whether we find out just what the heck Bartolomeo's power is or perhaps we'll see something else happen at the tournament or even go back to the other Straw Hats and Law, I'll definitely be looking forward to the next chapter. See you all then!
I'm so sorry OR AM I?!
Well, I guess I was wrong about Chinjao and Cavendish keeping Lucy's secret identity to themselves to use it to only their advantage. I think it would be funny if Lucy can keep up his secret so that those two aren't able to convince anyone else, and they just get more and more angry.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one, or doesn't Cavendish's whole motive of wanting to get revenge on Luffy and the other Supernovas of his generation because they stole his "popularity"...isn't that kinda...lame? I hope someone brings that up how lame that sounds at some point to him.
Cavendish' motivation is very silly, but like I said at least he isn't all talk. He still won't get his revenge though :P
