Anime: Impel Down Arc- Episode 430

First Thoughts
CROCODILE! Crocodile was in this episode! I mean we never saw his whole body but we heard his face! Saw his pretty face! And we saw his hook! His hook! Oh my gosh! Boy was it cool to see good old Crocodile. Well isn't exactly good but you get what I mean. Just so awesome to see Crocodile again. I am so excited to see more of Crocodile (and the rest of his body) in the anime soon.

The episode overall was cool to see since it was funny to see Luffy, Buggy and Mr. 3 in their antics. haha Somehow I think this episode was a bit padded since I was surprise to see where we were at half way though the episode. I love the image above though. haha Chibi Luffy, Buggy and Mr. 3. Love those moments in the episode.

I think that is all that matters for now. haha



Summary
Jimbei is torture a bit by the guards. Jimbei and Ace talks a bit about how Whitebeard has helped protect Fishmen Island from pirates and others who wish to harm the fishman race. Crocodile reveals that there are people called "Silver Medalist" who wish to see Whitebeard die.

Luffy, Buggy and Mr. 3 run arounds in Level 3 from the wild beast that live there. Eventually they encounter the sphinx. After awhile, the floor breaks and Luffy, Buggy, Mr. 3, and the sphinx fall to Level 4.


Thoughts

ITS CROCODILE! ITS CROCODILE!

Yeah...Did you guys know that I am a huge Crocodile fan? Well I am. Just seeing this hook here makes me all happy and such. It just means that we will see him soon.

This isn't Crocodile but he does have a nice smile. Also we see such clear features so that means he will be important soon right? Well I know he isn't Crocodile at least. No scar and his smile is all wrong. I know Croc's smile and that isn't it. Still what a nice smile. Nice to see that there are at least some happy prisoners in Impel Down right? So the place can't be all bad right? haha

And the man of the hour! Jimbei! We finally see the guy in color with all his wonderful features! I mean don't you think this is about time? All the times before we see his face all shadow up and just his figure but nothing else. Well we have seen him I guess though the new opening but it was so fast that it was hard to see. So I don't count that.

This Jimbei guy seems really old. I mean I know he is old and all but his values seem really odd in this anime seeing that everybody else here is really young as in age. This is really cool and interesting though. Seems like a nice guy and honorable. That is a good way to describe Jimbei, honorable.

And now we are back to our heroes! Our wonderful wonderful heroes who are running away from some of the nice beast of Level 2. I am guessing this is why they called Level 2 'Wild Beast Hell'. Interesting. Nice to know that our little mantis friend is okay and got his little blades thing out of the ground. Also Mr. Hippo is cool now. Look at him there! All happy and such. Doesn't he look so ever cute? haha

You be thinking that Mr. 3 will be able to do something as in create something out of wax so they can attack that or something.

And finally we see our wonderful heroes attack those suckers. I mean they are just animals right? haha I love Buggy's Chop Chop Cannon since it is holding an ax. haha That is some cannon there. Still I wonder why Mr. 3 use Candle Lock attack. Though I did found it funny that there was some little lions who was flying in the air with Candle Locks on their legs. Their faces were priceless. haha

Strawberry-printed panties!

Wow....Who the heck teaches these things how to speak. I mean I am guessing that it is the prisoners but really? Strawberry-printed panties? Are people in Impel Down that deprived? I be expecting this from the people from Level 1 since they seem more like the type to say something like that. Still I thought the people in Level 2 will have a bit more class. Maybe Mr. 3 is the diamond in the dirt or something.

And nobody here got the joke because I don't think anybody here watches Axis Powers Hetalia. If so then congrats on getting or understanding a very bad joke. haha

I love these chibi moments. They guys look so cute here. haha Luffy with that little blush there as we know he will be staring that whatever is guarding those stairs. Buggy just looking scared but I am not sure if he is just nervous or something. Then Mr. 3 just sneaking away. Got to say Mr. 3 got these guys pretty good on what they will do considering that he only just meet Buggy. haha Mr. 3 must be some sort of genius that is a master of plans or something and not some lameo that tells bad puns and jokes. haha

I would like to see a full episode where everybody are chibis. I mean we had those StrawHat shorts or whatever they are called but I want a full episode. haha That would be cool.

Also I want a bigger image of that Chibi Luffy.

Umm....Food

I just love the animals in One Piece! Especially these that we are seeing based on mythical beast. I mean you be thinking that it would look just like a real sphinx as if it was like the one in Egypt. Though here we get is something  that looks old,  sad and not very powerful. haha I mean his wings are on his hands for goodness sake! I guess Oda was going for something realistic which I guess this what a real sphinx would look like.

Aww...The guy looks so sad. And those guys (our heroes) are just looking at it like he was something amazing.

I wonder if the sphinx can fly. Just a question. haha

You know that for people who want to leave Luffy to be eaten by the sphinx, they seem to care a lot about what happens to the guy. I mean they just warned the guy to move out of the way. I am sure that while Luffy was getting crush, that Mr. 3 and Buggy would been able to run away. Still at least we know that these guys are good backup for Luffy.

The only reason why this image is here is because I just wanted to have a picture of Mr. 3 with his hair on fire. I think that looks so cool. Also some of Mr. 3 attacks look cool too.

Though this is just me and me alone but I think Mr. 3 (Japanese) voice sounds a bit high and umm...gayish? I mean I don't mean nothing bad about the gayish part. It sounds like to me that he has a high pitch voice that is used for people trying to do that stereotype. I hear this voice everytime that Mr. 3 does an attack which is kind of strange. I love the attacks and animation but the voice is kind of making me go "eh?".

Though try to understand, I never actually saw the subs of Little Garden or anything so I don't know how he sounds like in Japanese. This is like my first time hear Mr. 3 in Japanese. I saw the Little Garden arc a few months ago but dub only via that Funimation DVDs. So hearing Mr. 3 is a first for me. I don't remember if the dub voice was like this when Mr. 3 attacked but I do remember he had a cool voice. Something  that made him sound cool when he did his 'evil face'. I doubt this will ruin me watching Mr. 3 during these subs but it was something that just popped into my mind when I was watching Mr. 3 attack.

Oh...This can't be good. The ground is getting cracks in it. I don't think the ground is suppose to be getting cracks in it.

I love the reaction that Buggy, Mr. 3 and the prisoners in Level 3 were having. I mean they were all getting scared about the rumbles that they were hearing thinking that the sphinx was angry when in reality he was just having fun with Luffy. Then Buggy and Mr. 3 were just staring at the two this whole time. I mean they could have just left right there and now with Luffy on top of the sphinx but they chose to be there the whole time. haha

You are all idiots. haha

haha I say it again. You are all idiots. haha

And there goes our heroes. Falling down a pit that they all made to go down to Level 4. haha I didn't see this coming. I mean I guess they wouldn't go down the stairs since that would have been too easy but I didn't expect them to fall down a whole. That they made! Wow! Just pure amazing there!

Now back to the awesome part.

Umm...maybe this isn't the awesome part that I mention.

It is moments like this that make me in awe at the One Piece World. That even though we have wonderful things like Water 7 where even the poor are well off and peaceful villages like Syrup Villages. We also have places and things where people are just plain cruel and evil. That there are people both pirates and regular that are willing to go down to Fishman Island and steal mermaids and fishman alike just for their own greed. There are times when I love when we are in places like Water 7 or Skypiea but at the same time we have things like this happening. What an amazing world the One Piece World is.

Then we have Whitebeard. One of the most powerful pirates in the world making declarations like these only to help these people out. Jimbei said that there are many islands that are under Whitebeard's 'territory' that help keeps the balance of the world and those island people safe. Which Jimbei has a point about how he thinks the Marines are doing something stupid by declaring war on Whitebeard since that may cause the peace to break. It seems like Whitebeard plays a huge role in keeping peace. Still I am thinking that maybe the Marines are thinking that if they could defeat Whitebeard then that will be a testament to how strong they are and thus be able to make statements like what Whitebeard did in order to protect those kind of places.

Though I doubt they do anything to make sure there is peace in Fishman Island since it seems like they support what is going on with fishman involvement with the slave trade. Very sad. I am sure that Jimbei has tried many times to ask the Marines and  World Government to do something about that only for it to go on deaf ears. What a shame. They are willing to knowledge a fishman as a Warlord but not consider fishman as equals.

Though it makes me wonder, the last two Warlords we just met, Hancock and Jimbei, seem to be only Warlords because the World Government need their leverage and thus those people are forced to work for the Government. Hancock is in it because she is protecting her people while Jimbei, I don't know but I guess it involves Fishman Island or because Jimbei wants to show that fishman and humans can live together or something. I don't know but from what I have seen of Jimbei so far, the guy doesn't seem like the type of guy who is violent like the rest of the Warlords or all that into the idea of his job as a Warlord.

OH WOW! Crocodile! Crocodile! Crocodile!

I mean we don't see his whole face or his body much less but this is just making me excited! Now that is a smile of a villain. A guy that knows what he is doing and how to do it. A ray of confidence. Then that hook. How he just pets it waiting for the chance to use it. I just want them to show a full body shot of Crocodile. That would be cool.

A little side bit about Mikey-san, he wanted to cosplay at first as Crocodile but couldn't figure out how to make the outfit. Then it was a week before his first con and still couldn't figure out how to make it so he went with Luffy. Mikey-san still wants to cosplay as Crocodile but knows that will be a long way before he ever does. Be cool though especially if he could convince a friend to cosplay as Alabasta Nico Robin. haha

Just look at that! With a few words about the Silver Medalist and Whitebeard and Croc has gotten these people all rally up. Amazing. Just pure amazing there. I am sure that with the right moment like this, Crocodile could cause a riot from just within his cell. I know I am giving the guy too much credit but it sounds like it could happen.

Also one other thing that has nothing to do with Crocodile. That big guy back there with the red hair. It kind of looks like Saul but I don't think that is him. Still all these pirates here are suppose to be infamous and powerful. Thus I wondering how they use to look before going to Impel Down. Crocodile, Ace and Jimbei all looked cool so I wonder how these guys looked like. Did they had fancy outfits or something? Just a thought.

A thought that nobody would think of but also very true. We always hear about the people who win in the end but never about the people who make it as second place. The silver medalists. The gold medalist are the ones who get it all. The tv deals, the guest spots and their face on the cereal boxes. Though never do we hear about what happens to those second place winners. Very thoughtful there Oda. Very thoughtful. Will these Silver Medalists play a part later on in the series or just fade away? Knowing Oda, they will later on but who knoes. Surely Crocodile and some of the other Warlords are Silver Medalist. Just amazing. Way out there that it sounds crazy to thinking about.

That is it, after this we see Luffy, Buggy, Mr. 3 and the sphinx falling down to Level 3. What will await them? No idea. haha


Preview

Not much of a preview. I mean all we see is Luffy trying to bite some sort of rope and this guy. All I guess is that Level 3 is hot and this guy is there.


Movie 10 Information

And the reason why the preview was so short was because we got a long Movie 10 segment that took up a lot of time! To tell the truth, I am getting tired of these Movie 10 Information things but then again I took so many screencaps of them in this one. haha

The only reason why I got this one is because we get to see Shiki's skeleton. haha

Seems like this Movie 10 Information is showing a lot about Nami's time with Shiki. She looks very different here and her hair is longer I think. Maybe it is because we haven't seen Nami in a long time or something. Nami surely does look much older though.

I am sure that most people who are looking at this blog already knows what happens in Movie 10, found a way to watch it or just are like me who haven't seen the spoilers or such. If you are in the first two mention groups then you know what happens here to some degree. Still it looks interesting.

I so wish I was there. I also want that flag there. Also that jacket with the StrawHats jolly roger on the sleeve. Very awesome.

Also if I am told right or something, that is all the VAs for the Japanese One Piece. Very cool. I do know that Shiki's VA is the guy in blue.

Something to know incase you haven't heard. One Piece: Strong World beat out Harry Power and Ponyo in the opening weekend in Japan. Then just in the first weekend, One Piece: Strong World was able to make more money then the last One Piece movie made in it's run time in theaters. That is amazing. Congrats to One Piece fans in Japan for the awesome numbers. Very cool. Can't wait to see this happen stateside.

Awesome visuals. I mean that Sunny flying  like that is amazing. So clear and crisp. It looks as if it should be flying like that. Nice.

Then Zoro in is Azura attack. Nice. It took me a while to figure out what he was doing but when I saw what was happening. Wow. It really looks like the crew is pulling out all stops here to save Nami. That is very nice and making me expect great things when it comes to fights in this movie. Cool.
