Manga: Chapter 595 (SPOILERS!)

Alright! This chapter starts out with another colourspread. I love how much it stands out, even if it is simple. Nothing much to say other than everyone has the Straw Hat skull & crossbones in the form of tattoos as well as the bottom right saying : "Its astounding how fast the time fleets". Its referring to the small sense of reminiscences and sentimentalisms that surrounds this chapter somewhat. You'll see how as we go through this.

This week's installment starts out with the Heart Pirates sailing on the Grand Line. The crew are surprised that Law doesn't want to go to the New World just yet as he needs to wait for the right time. I like how Law is calmer and thinks more about the consequences of rushing to a dangerous world. Also when he says that he wants to steal the proper throne, he is referrering to the person who finds the One Piece not Blackbeard as he is going through extreme and villainous efforts to get what he wants, at least in my opinon. We cut to a Winter island in the New World. Apparently this island is a favourite of Kaidou (one of the Four Emperors). On this island we see X Drake and his crew talking to a subbordinate of Kaidou who protects the island.X Drake is prepared to attack him as he turns into his T Rex form. This is insinuating that Drake is intending to lure Kaidou out with the death of this subbordinate. As to why that is I couldn't say as Drake is kinda mysterious and we don't know too much about him to tell. We go again to another island in the New World called Spring Island. We see Scratchmen Apoo and his crew fleeing a horde of boars, as they jump off the cliff to escape they somehow manage to keep running in midair along with the boars who are still chasing them.

Thats right guys, our big bearded baddie is here!

We cut again to an unknown burning island in the New World where the Blackbeard Pirates are kicking back, eating and drinking but poor San Juan Wolf can't get in on the fun as he is too big for the Marutabune which is the Blackbeard pirate's ship, you know that puny raft? I think its funny how they still have this raft after a very long time. It turns out that Blackbeard has taken Jewelry Bonney captive (the fact that shes in chains is a 100% guarantee that this will definitely become a hentai somewhere) you'll see why in a minute. He even flirts with her asking to become his woman (which makes me think Blackbeard as a stereotypical male villian of a Disney movie or something) and of course she kicks him right in the face. A marine ship is on the horizon and apparently an exchange is wanting to take place, the exchange  is a Marine ship for Bonney. Van Auger spots Akainu on the ship from the distance and they all run away. Akainu arrives and talks with Bonney. But he says something interesting to her :

Akainu: "When I heard that you ran away from the Government, it alarmed me--but thats all over now..."

Jewellery Bonney: " I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU PEOPLE!"

This is so interesting not only does Bonney have an unknown connection to the Government but she apparently holds a grudge against them. Its kinda cool seeing some more character development in her considering again, we haven't seen that much of her. We cut again to Holy Land Marejoa as Donquiote Doflamingo is explaining to a Government official how Gecko Moria has disappeared using his Kage Kage abilities, but of course we all know that he has disposed of Moria and the official is aware of this too. But of course being the awesome guy that he is, Doflamingo doesn't give a shit since hes still a pirate and he can quit being a Sea Warlord whenever he wants to. Again this is interesting, he knows the Government needs him and yet he can quit anytime he wants to. I just know that Doflamingo may become much more important as the series progresses.

Don't fuck with puppeters

We go back again to the Torino Kingdom as Chopper has apparently returned under the not so grand disguise of Chopper Mask (only $19.99 from Toys R Us!) which of course doesn't work. Chopper is intending to do some research in a big libarary the inhabitants have (who despite their native appearences is actually in a fair way, technologically intelligent). As he is researching, gathering plants and such, Chopper reminisces over the times he had back at Drum Island with Dr Hiriluk and the Straw Hats. Chopper is now determined to become stronger to ensure that something like the Saobody Incident doesn't happen again. Its great seeing Choppers determination and readying himself for the dangers of the New World. Maybe he'll actually master his Monster form.

You'll be okay Chopper, no need for da sad face :<

We cut to the Kamabakka Kingdom as Sanji and Ivankov are eating a meal that apparently overflowing with a strange power. Ivankov says that this is Attack Cuisine which apparently makes your body become stronger through the use of certain foods. Sanji is determined to learn the secrets of Attack Cuisine but Ivankov explains that the 99 Vital Recipes of the Kamabakka Kingdom are part of the secret Bride Training of Newkama Kenpo (boy that was a mouthful). Ivankov says that if he wishes to learn the secrets, the he needs to tran up and learn Newkama Kenpo, of course Sanji refuses since he was born a man but Ivankov says he'll give Sanji a chance anyway. Each of the 99 recipes are handled by 99 masters of Newkama Kenpo and Sanji must steal all the recipes but Sanji will constantly be pestered by the manladies and remove his manliness, Ivankov says that he'll even give Sanji a ship if he succeeds. As Sanji ponders this, he too reminisces on the times he first had with Luffy on the Baratie. As Sanji is determined to give Luffy his support as a world oriented chef, the chapter ends with Sanji accepting Ivankov's challenge.

I AM A MAN! *PUNCH!*

Overall, this chapter like the last had a lot of content to get through. We see more survivors of the Whitebeard War as well as their intentions/exploits for the future, we gain more character development for a couple of characters. I also noticed that the Supernovas and the Blackbeard Pirates were all reintroduced character by character, I believe this adds more to the indication that this is almost like a reboot to the series. The most important aspect being to be able to see the format of how the Straw Hats wish to become stronger before heading back to Luffy. It makes me wonder how the rest of the crew will intend to become stronger as they reflect on how great a captain they have. So we'll probably be seeing them again next chapter as It adds even more to the suspense and the theme of how the memories of Luffy getting them to join will boost their ego and determined to return and to get stronger no matter what.
