Get your blood pumped up with One Piece each week on SJAlpha!
Continuing from last week when Trafalgar Law CUT A MOUNTAIN IN HALF, the lab starts to collapse around everyone. The Straw Hats, the Marines and the children continue evacuating the facility but with a much bigger risk at hand.
Meanwhile in the SAD room, Law uses his powers to stick Vergo's body parts on a railing and starts to leave with Smoker. Vergo taunts Law by saying he'll regret doing this because taking down Doflamingo will not be as easy as he thinks and even tries to get Smoker to agree with, but Law splits his head in half and tells Vergo to worry about himself instead.
Oh these poor naive soldiers
Back in R Block, the beaten down Caesar takes in the fact that his plans are being ruined and gets mad at Luffy.
Let me just take that in...ah the satisfaction but there is still more to come.
Anyway, Caesar gets so mad that he demands his men in the Secret Room to open the air vents so that the Land of the Death gas can be let in. Caesar even shows his true colors when he outright shouts at his men that he doesn't care if they die because they're expendable.

The poor men start to cry and kid themselves into believing that this is a ruse as they turn on the gas for their "kind master". As the gas fills the room, it envelops around Caesar making him bigger and powerful. Then to show off his prowess he starts petrifying his own men who are still on the verge of tears. Much like myself, Luffy gets SUPER PISSED and runs off somewhere telling Momonosuke to watch Brownbeard for him.
Those eyes...
As the men in the Secret Room watch in horror at what their Master has done, Usopp emerges from his hiding spot and asks to use the controls so he can help his friends escape. The men think that Luffy is running away though and even call him a coward but Usopp tells them to shut up and says that Luffy would never betray them despite how easy it would be. Usopp continues to say Luffy has absolute faith in his crew and thats why they risk their lives to help him since he would do the same.
The chapter ends with Usopp stating that Luffy despises people like Caesar and that he'll pay, while Luffy prepares to launch an attack on Caesar with his face displaying how pissed he is.
Usopp has come so far in the series
This is another one of those "setting up the final attack" chapters but its a good one. Its clear that this arc isn't going to finish like most of them with a party on the island because Punk Hazard will pretty much be done for by the end (unless its on the Sunny or something). Great speech from Usopp, great badassery from Law and Luffy, not much to say really.
Although whether Caesar will truly be gone after this attack, how they'll all escape and wherever Franky is are questions still on my mind but I don't think it'll take long for us to find out. Keep reading, I think we're almost done. See you all next time!
Heres some ZoroxTashigi fodder :P
Just got Season 4 Voyage 3 for Christmas. It is true, Usopp has come very far. All that's left is to give him a real fight, and not like the phoned in one he had on Fishman Island.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't think that "Mortifying" was the right word for Tashigi to say in that moment. It almost sounds too offensive. Wouldn't it sound more natural to just say "Embarrassing?"
I was so thinking that too as I was watching Usopp in this chapter. I was watching S4V3 on Christmas as well and this is a complete 180 degrees to what Usopp said back in that set.
DeleteUsopp has come a long way. This speech also reminds me of the one he made back in Alabasta to Mr. 4 and Miss Christmas about Luffy. The only difference is that it looks like Usopp is speaking with much more confidence due to the events of Water 7.
