This may look bad, but what isn't is One Piece! Each week in Weekly Shonen Jump!
Dressrosa is full of panic, chaos and death after Doflamingo unleashed his killer move, Bird Cage. There is no hope as everybody is going to perish with no help from outside. Things are getting completely out of reach.Meanwhile the ex-prisoners take the chance to escape from the underground factory while Usopp's group meets up with Sabo's group and Kin'emon. Bartolomeo continues his fanboying streak by gawking over Robin and going ECSTATIC when Robin confirms to him that Usopp is Sniper King.
Sabo summed him up perfectly
Back outside, the violence continues as Doflamingo continues to use his powers to make random people kill each other. Doflamingo reminds us all of the "game" from last week; either try to kill him or "bring justice" to the twelve people who stand against him.
He then shows a list of the twelve people including Luffy, Law, Kyros and King Riku with each person having a certain amount of stars relating to the bounties he will give and the importance of each person (so Luffy is amongst the four with the highest amount of three stars). But to really up the ante, Doflamingo declares the person who is on top of the list: "God" Usopp with a grand total of five Stars! Poor guy.
I smell a new bounty...
Naturally with a bounty of 500 million berries for the guy, poor Usopp is betrayed by his so-called followers and is chased along with Sabo's group and Kin'emon. Bartolomeo uses his powers to put up a barrier to allow Robin and Rebecca to escape. Zoro calls Robin on the Transponder Snail and informs her that he is with Luffy on the King's Plateau (along with King Riku, Viola and Law although Kyros seems to be missing).
Luffy talks with Rebecca over the snail to let her know that the One-Legged Soldier is back to his human form. Rebecca asks what he is like because her memory hasn't recovered yet and when Luffy tells her that the soldier is her father, she starts to cry (although she seemed to have realised somehow anyway). Luffy tells her not to cry and even says sorry about the Flame-Flame fruit but in exchange he'll kick Doflamingo's butt and all she has to do...is survive.
Great, now I'M fanboying
Law reminds Luffy that the plan was always to let Doflamingo live and let him clash with Kaido but if Doflamingo is dead and SMILE is lost, Kaido will vent his rage onto Luffy and Law. Luffy decides that they can worry about that when it happens because he can't just sit by while the country goes to shambles. The chapter ends with Fujitora and Bastille commanding the Marines not to capture Doflamingo as the Luffy-Law Alliance is the priority right now, while Luffy grabs Zoro and Law and heads straight towards Doflamingo's palace.
Luffy you jerk...you're awesome
This is classic One Piece; a loss of hope in the beginning but thanks to Luffy, the characters (and subsequently the audience) regain hope. The situation looks dire with Doflamingo's "game" especially for poor Usopp but you know that things will be settled with a good speech or a profound action.
I do believe that Luffy will defeat Doflamingo not just because this is the norm but also because I can totally see Oda wanting Luffy and Law to clash with both Big Mom and Kaido. Overall I REALLY cannot wait to see the next chapter. Thats all for now, thank you for reading and see you all next time!
Hmmm, where is our Cyborg?
All I want is for Rebecca to be the one to defeat Diamante. She has the greatest beef toward him, and now that her Daddy issues are resurrected, she has all the strength she needs to make a comeback.
ReplyDeleteOda better not wuss out and give the fight with Diamante to Kyros or Zoro
I would like to point out scarlet was kyros wife so his beef with diamante would be just as big as rebeccas
