SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
Nami...your priorities need fixing girl. Maybe some One Piece from Viz shall aid you. Buy now!
We start this week's installment of awesomeness back at Ryuuguu Palace where the Straw Hats are bickering over the situation they're currently in (the fact that they just took nearly everyone hostage nothing special XD). Neptune laments how he couldn't do anything due to his age and the Minister of the Right tries to intimidate them by proclaiming the princes shall be back any second. Zoro asks why they can't just gather the others and leave right now but in case you (and Zoro of course) forgot, the coating got torn off the Sunny, on top of that Nami explains the Log Pose has been acting strangely since they arrived. The Minister of the Left says that Pose isn't going to work if they're going to the New World. He says he'll explain if they untied him but almost instantly after, the doorbell rings notifying the princes have arrived. Fukaboshi demmands the door to be opened but Zoro responds with a no (much to Usopp and Keimi's dismay). Zoro explains that they have everyone hostage and issues demmands: a new coating for the Thousand Sunny and to find the rest of the Straw Hats. Fukaboshi gives into the demmands but also says he has no choice but to give a message to Luffy from Jinbei. Alright! I've been waiting to hear this for a while.
TATSUMAKI SENPUU KYAKU!
Actually there are 2 messages (which Zoro says he'll pass onto Luffy). The first is "Do not fight with Hodi", the second is "I'm waiting in the Sea Forest". With this revelation alone, we know that Jinbei is respected not only by the princes but by the rest of the Palace, he is on the island and Hodi may be more dangerous than we thought (as if he didn't seem it enough by now). Back at Coral Hill, the news of everyone being held hostage at the Palace has spread like wild fire and everyone is shocked. Outside the Mermaid Cafe a fight is taking place and who should be causing the ruckus but...Chopper! We see for the first time one of his brand new forms "Kung Fu Point", he looks chubby but he spin kicks like a bad ass (Street Fighter anyone?). Turns out he's fighting off the Royal Guards since he's needed at the Palace but Chopper tries to fend them off since Sanji still isn't better. Speaking of Sanji, we see him walking out of the Cafe as he makes the life threatening decision of going to the Palace knowing that the Princess is sure to be there (oh Sanji...once a perv always a perv).
Speaking of perverts ;)
Back at Ryuuguu Palace in the Koukaku Tower, Luffy tries to convince Shirahoshi to go outside since she let him eat her food but she is still reluctant to do so since she doesn't want to cause trouble for others. Luffy asks where she wants to go to and coincidently enough, she wants to go to the Sea Forest (hooray for convinience!). Shirahoshi starts to cry again but all of a sudden a loud noise happens outside the tower. Back to the others, Neptine starts to panic and worry about Shirahoshi since nobody is guarding her and demmands to the Straw Hats to go and check up on her (I gotta admit, Neptunes pretty cool for issuing demmands as a hostage. Don't think I've ever seen that before) and threatens that if they do not do so, he shall chase them all to the ends of the sea. Our second pervert Brook is on the case and sprints for the door, the Minister of the Right begs Brook to take him along since Koukaku Tower is under his jurisdiction and Brook does so. Back at Koukaku Tower, Shirahoshi says that shes always wanted to go to the Sea Forest but for 10 years everyone warned her of how dangerous it was which made her afraid. Luffy manages to convince her by saying he'll protect her. She cries again but with tears of joy this time (awww). Luffy knows that since shes so big that they'll get noticed instantly so he has an idea....hoo boy. XD
Luffy needs more plans like this in the future XD
Brook and the minister arrive at the tower but notice that all around it isn't one of Van Der Dekken's spears like they thought so before but it turns out to be the bodies of several human pirates, on top of that they're still alive! Eeeek! Our chapter ends with Luffy and Shirahoshi leaving the tower, with Megalo (DEFINITELY not supsiciously) carrying Shirahoshi in his body....I lol'd :P
What did I think of this chapter? We did learn a lot of things like where Jinbei is and how what some of Chopper's new powers are capable of. As usual we still have questions like; where will this hostage situation lead to? Will Luffy and Shirahoshi get to the Sea Forest unnoticed? Are we EVENTUALLY going to see Franky and Robin? We'll fnd out next week!
Until then, sayonara bye bye!
Okay! Competition is over! I am deeming Luffy as Genius of the Year for 2011! That last page proves it. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAlso we need more Shira in this post. haha
I wish Luffy actually looked more like a 19yr old. If you ask me, he looks YOUNGER after the time skip.
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the sleeves? What is he hiding?
Sanji's sillier than I like with his perversion. He's actually weaker because of it.
I wish Robin would get more "screen time."
I can't wait for the new chapter. I'm sure Oda will deliver. Right now I'm feeling anxious about the New World stuff. Everything is bigger, more dangerous, and Luffy is completely himself (laughing off the poison) but yet ... more of a monster than ever.
Personally I think Luffy looks the same. As in what is he hiding I think it is clear. That tattoo that we saw back before the time skip.
ReplyDeleteI wish Robin get more screen time too...
