Manga: Chapter 615 (SPOILERS)

You got to love how in some chapters of One Piece literally nothing happens but at the same time we get tons of information to think about. One Piece has the amazing ability to just be able to do such a thing. I am disappointed that we didn't get anything as in action like the last chapter was taunted us with such as all those pirates hitting the tower. On the other hand I was excited to be able to get so much information such as an explanation on how Decken's ability.

To start things off we have a continuation of the coverstory from last week. Dadan and her people seem to be enjoying the return of Luffy and his crew. They are all wearing straw hats to celebrate. They must be huge fans of Luffy if they are partying like this. I am wondering about those books that say 'Ace' that are to the left of Dadan. Are they memory books of him or something? Not sure.

This chapter picks right up on where we were last week. Luffy riding off into the sunset riding on a shark with Shira inside. I love how Luffy wanted to do a good thing for Shira but in actually causing a lot of trouble for his own crew and the people of the palace. Just like in Luffy fashion. haha This surely is going to be fun.

Still it seems like the gears are being set in motion as we have pirates (who are not the StrawHats) trying to break into the palace. Apparently Hodi and/or Decken are foes to be feared if these human pirates are so determine to do as they say and find that switch. Either way it looks like Zoro and them are going to have more fighting to do if these guys are to be stopped.

Then we see our old friend Hatchin with Chopper and Sanji. The guy doesn't look good and it would seems like he wants the StrawHats off Fishman Island. Either he wants them out before the danger comes or is ashamed that people who believe in "Arlong's Will" are still on Fishman Island. Maybe both seeing that he is in such bad shape. I wonder how long this battle between 'good' fishmen and 'bad' fishman has been going on.

Hyouzou is an interesting fellow seeing that planning has been done for him ever since Arlong Park arc. It was brought up by ZeroXOmega that Hyouzou got mention all the way back in Chapter 84 (see image above). Now over 500 chapters later we see this powerful person. The little that we seen of Hyouzou shows us that he isn't somebody to be messed with. Hatchin is the complete opposite Hyouzou who is much more serious.

On the other hand it is really cool that Oda is able to plan so much and proves that he been wanting to go to Fishman Island for a long time. Interesting and unfortunately this little detail was cut out of the anime. Prior to writing this post I decided to pull out my DVD containing the Hatchin and Zoro fight and saw that it was brushed over in both the English and Japanese version. Sucks for mainly anime fans (like myself).

So far Hyouzou seems like a cool guy and I can't wait to see him in battle. He is a man-for-hire so I wonder if we would even see him battle. Would he be interested in fighting against somebody like Zoro if it isn't worth the pay? Not saying that somebody like Zoro is too powerful or not worth whatever Hodi is paying him but attacking a powerful man like Zoro may not be worth the 50 Berries (not saying Hyouzou is getting paid that much either since it seems like he charges a lot for his services). Also mercs (from what I know) tend to have zero to little honor so he may not feel like fighting a man like Zoro who seems to have honor. Interesting to see how things will play out.

Decken's ability seems to be something that could be very powerful but weak at the same time. The explanation we got says that he has to touch the person to 'target' and he can only store two people in his memory to target. One of them is Shira and based on his talking we see that he is an obsessed stalker. The fact that he hasn't wash his hands in ten years is damn proof and the image of a sleeping Shira with his hand over her doesn't bring pleasant images to mind. (Stalker much?)

The clear weakness is that he needs to touch the person if he wants to 'target' them. So as long as that person keeps their distance then they be safe especially since Decken  can only use one hand to touch the person since he doesn't want to use his hand that has touched Shira. Don't want to be sounding like I am pairing people up for battle but this guy would be an interesting person for Usopp to fight. Will he be able to touch Usopp who is mostly a distant fighter? Also those Pop Greens may cause some chaos which will make it harder for him to touch Usopp. Then again once Usopp is touched, all of Decken's throws will have a 95 percent chance of hitting the sharpshooter.

Also let not forget this....HE IS A MESSED UP MAN WHO HAS A DEVIL FRUIT AND LIVES UNDERWATER! Thus he can't swim so there is an advantage that he lost due to be a fishman. In other news I wonder how he got this power since I think he didn't eat the fruit but maybe inherit it from his father. Just an idea.

Looks like there is some rumbling among Fishmen. Decken and Hodi are wanting to create trouble in Fishman Island by taking it over while Hatchin and Neptune are trying to keep things peaceful. I can now see how Shirley can think that Luffy is at the center of the trouble based on her prediction. Clearly Luffy is going to get tied into this and it won't be pretty.

A lot of talk about the New Generation versus the Old Generation. Looks like we are going to get more in-depth here after seeing a bit of this during the Marineford Arc. Both set of mermen generations seem to have a different view among humans and I would have to guess that the New has more hate then the Old. Guessing these youngins think they are hot stuff and need to show that humans need to be their slaves or something. Lots of different views and ideals being thrown around here that can show that the new Hatchin isn't the same compare to how he was at the beginning of the series. Either way Decken and Hodi are a force to be dealt with seeing that they are working independently but together at the same time.

So it seems like Shira wants to go see her mother's grave that is in the Sea Forest. I still don't believe how Shira is able to be inside that shark but you have to say that her enthusiasm and self is very cute. haha Her feeling of adventure is so nice to see but different compare to Luffy. It is a different kind of innocence when you put it next to his and it is refreshing. We are going on an adventure where it doesn't look like it will kill Luffy.

Looks like next week we are going to see Jimbei if all goes well. Shall be interesting. We have rumblings of battle in the background but a fun adventure in the front.
