Interview Piece: Clint Bickham (Part 2 + Bonus)

We finally conclude our interview with Clint Bickham, scriptwriter for Funimation's One Piece. He is not only a writer for the series but a huge fan.

In this part of the interview, we talk about the scriptwriting process for One Piece. We even talk about some of Clint's favorite parts in the upcoming season of One Piece.

Things to note: This interview was taken during the April of 2012. So some things may be out of date. You can read the first part of this interview here.

Interview Piece: Chris Patton & Leah Clark (& Introduction)

Hello and welcome to the first of many possible posts by yours truly, the one and only PirateBeck. For those of you who don't know me, I spent a good deal of my time researching and uncovering information about internationally produced dubs of One Piece, ranging from actor information to song dubbing, from across the world. And when I say 'from across the world', I mean that most of my research is of the American and Singapore English dubs. I wish I spoke languages outside of English and even then, I'm nowhere near perfect when it comes to speaking that either!

Interview Piece: J. Micheal Tatum (Part 2)

Continuing from our first part, we now have our second and final part of our discussion with God! This time we are a bit more One Piece and anime focus as Tatum talks about his experiences as 'god', a demon and the french (and why he may not be allow into France anytime soon). There is a lot of One Piece love in this interview and for a minute we sounded like One Piece fanatics talking about One Piece on a sunny afternoon.

Things to know before reading this interview. Before this interview was conducted, Tatum was on a panel and shared some of his experiences as a stage actor. One of them included getting beaten with a vase and bleed. Also we had to move the location of our interview due to some Hetalia fangirls (saying that in a good way) that were loud.

Also at the end of this interview, I gave Tatum a HUGE Eneru keychain. Yes....That figure that you see Tatum holding in the picture above is actually a keychain.

Interview Piece: J. Micheal Tatum (Part 1)

Back during OniCon, I was blessed to be in the presence of the voice of God. We had a marvelous time and had such an engaging conversation. The only way to describe our time together was....godly.

haha So here is the interview that I had with J. Micheal Tatum (Voice of Eneru, Dalton, and Pearl.) that was done while at OniCon 2010. We had such a long conversations talking about how dubbing works, our obsession with One Piece and so much more! Unfortunately this interview is so long that it is going to be cut up into two pieces so I hope you will enjoy the first piece of our conversations with the godly J. Micheal Tatum.

Interview Piece: Stephanie Young

I step into the panel room after a quick dinner with friends. As I open the door, the sound of a sweet voice welcomes me. I looked to the center of the room to see a young lady in a black dress singing while being accompany by a man in glasses with a guitar. I took my seat and listen to the young lady sing in a jazzy tone. When the young lady was done with her musical performance, I walked up to her and that was when the interview with Stephanie Young at AKon began.

Some things to know, this interview was suppose to take ten minutes but Stephanie and I had too much fun here. We were kind of under a time limit since the original time for this interview was earlier but it had to be postpone due to the autograph session lasting longer then it was suppose to. Another thing to know was originally Stephanie didn't allow me to record the interview but I think she pity me or something when she saw my inability to take notes and conduct an interview at the same time. I would like to thank her for that since it really helped make this interview fun. haha Still that will explain why the interview started out with her talking instead of me introducing her similar to past interviews. The question I asked her was the normal one that is always asked, "How much One Piece has she seen?" Her response was very surprising I have to say.

Lastly, I didn't conduct this interview in a skirt! No matter what the pictures say! haha Still to the interview!

Interview Piece: Leah Clark

Here is the interview with the lovely Leah Clark. The voice of Coby and Miss DoubleFinger from One Piece. I have to say that it was a fun interview. Leah was really cool to talk to and thank goodness she was very patient. haha It was a cool experience too since Anime Matsuri made sure to give us a room away from the noise of the convention. Got to thank the guys for doing that. During the interview we discuss several things including her roles as Miss DoubleFinger and Coby which led to a bit as her future with possibility one of the roles.

Some things to know, I was late to meet with Leah. I sat in front of the room for a few minutes before getting a  call by the Anime Matsuri staff telling me that she was already in the room. That was sheepish of me. haha Also I had problems looking up the names to all of the people and works that Leah mention during my spell check of them so they will have (CITATION) next to them to let you know that I couldn't find them.

So to the interview!

Interview Piece: Greg Ayres

Well here is the last piece of my coverage of KamiKaze Con! An interview with Greg- I mean Ch-, wait? I mean Greg Ayres! There was no mess ups with names here even though I should have mess up his name a bit after doing that with his older brother.

Greg is really just a huge anime fan simply as that. The interview was very long and took forever to get though. Then again maybe it was a bad idea to transcribe everything in one sitting. Still you guys are in a treat since you get a lot of good information from the voice actor and some One Piece stuff. A little bit of everything.

One Piece More: Apirl Fools!

Now I am glad that I got these Hannyabal screen shots.

You know? I love April Fools. It is one of my favorite holidays. I just fall into laughter when I know it is coming that I just feel like I must do one. Pulling the sheets over a person and seeing or hearing their  reaction brings joy to me. I should have been tired on April 1st but I was running on the energy of the day. haha Still it only happens once a year so that is good right? Still you should have the spirit of April Fools with you everyday since we could all use a good laugh every so often. haha

Interview Piece: Chris Ayres

So here is the first ever interview on One Piece at a Time! Exciting things here. I was a bit nervous going into this interview. I didn't know what to expect from this and was hoping that it won't be too bad. Chris (Johnny from One Piece) was a great guy to talk to and as I said before in my report on Kamikaze Con that I was able to be his guest relations person for the con. So I was able to talk to him a bit before this interview.

So this interview was done in the lobby of the hotel that KamiKaze Con was in. Congoers were going in and out in the background as I talk to Chris. Still one thing that I told myself before going into this interview is to not call him Greg and I did! My 'assistant' for the interview told me that I called him that three times. I don't believe I did that. Still Chris was cool and didn't mind and because of that we got a great interview.

One Piece More: PwnGoat and I Stalk Because We Care

Well been a while since I have done a More post. A long while. Heck I don't even remember what the last More post was about. All I can remember was it being about Winter Anime, the last One Piece DVD set and the manga. There are several reasons why I haven't done a More post in a while. One thing is that I feel like there is nothing for me to talk about. I mean I could talk about all the One Piece stuff but really I been feeling like talking about not One Piece stuff in a More post for a while. Still I think there is some One Piece related stuff here. Another reason is because I just been too lazy too make a More post. haha Still now that I am here typing it up then I am for it today!

Also, not sure if you notice it but the shirt that Luffy is wearing is the same one that Chopper was wearing back in the latest filler arc for Movie 10. Just a cool tidbit that I notice.
