Anime: Straw Hat Reunion Arc- Episode 519

First Thoughts

Although not sure as to what I should suspect for this episode, the return of the familiar bickering between Zoro and Sanji is a welcome relief. As for Chopper, well, I just hope he will not get himself in too far over his little furry head. He is so innocent, the only Straw Hat in no real danger and it made him even more trusting which in this case, could be disastrous. Chopper should have let the secret agents go, as they would provide a nice distraction for Robin, even if she didn’t particularly need it. I just worry for Chopper’s safety, and hope that he will find his real friends soon. Now, the only thing left to do is to watch the episode. That shouldn’t be too hard.

Anime: Post Marineford Arc- Episode 506

First Thoughts

Well, my first thought was WOAH. My second was OH WOW. Yup, I am so sophisticated with my vocabulary. But still, I didn't know what to expect for the episode. I never did get to hear about the crew's reactions to this news, and it certainly was interesting, to say the very least. Also adding in a bit more on what went down on each of their islands was really useful information as well. I was appreciative of that part. Of course, I do believe that my absolute favorite part was at the very end, the last few seconds. It was...so completely different than the feel of the rest of the episode. Of course, Zoro's reaction was my favorite of all the Strawhats. Seeing them all get the news in a different manner was really excellent; it was different and cool, a good combination of spontanious-ness and normal news-bird delivery...hahaha~

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 486 *Late*

First Thoughts

Ah, this is so late…(as usual), again. But this episode is (almost) worth the wait. Not as epic-ly exceptional as the prior episode, but still rather important. It doesn’t get thru much action, but certainly hits on some crucial points, and the end really picks up the action nicely. I was overall rather pleased with the episode in general. (It holds no comparison to episode 485 however, that episode was kick a--.) Makes me hate Blackbeard all that much more, haha.

Okay, so this episode was great. It was really important and turned out to be a lot better than I had previously thought. I just had to re-watch it like 7 times or something, haha.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 484

First Thoughts

Ah, this is so late…(as usual), so Sora apologizes profusely. Sora also promises to stop speaking in freakin’ THIRD TERM anymore now.

This episode had me hanging at the edge of my seat, screaming at the computer in awe, horror, fear, and most of all, anger. Not knowing what was going to really occur since details are a bit sketchy for me from between Ace’s death to around ch. 600, I had no warning for Whitebeard’s reaction, nor Luffy’s. It was shocking, really, seeing what occurred in this episode, especially with the surprise ending. Everyone’s reactions were wonderfully fitting, and overall it was an excellently depicted episode. This episode is dedicated to the idea of Overcoming Failure, as so many people are saddened that they failed at accomplishing something right now…then how they cope with the loss by lashing out at something/someone in terrible bursts. Quite exciting, no?

First Thoughts

If (by self proclamation) last episode (472) was the best of the year, then this episode is surely within the top 5, if not in second place for the title. It was beautifully done, wonderfully drawn, the scenes went quickly and smoothly, the action was well done, it was surprising and terrifying, awesome and amazing, and it just plain kicked Beep. Oh yeah. I loved what everybody’s actions where, and what each of them separately did/how they reacted in the episode. Gorgeous scenes.
