Funimation.Com Beta Initial Thoughts

Hey guys, it's me Dragon Piece! You may have saw me around on this blog doing guest posts before every now and then and now I am back because Mikey can't resist me! Anyway, I am here to give you guys a look at the brand new Funimation.com! It is currently a invitational only beta, but will be accessible soon enough for all to enjoy! I am here to give you guys a sneak preview at the awesomeness it is! So without further ado, let's go!

If there is anything I have to love about the site, it is the way to make friends! There are plenty of ways you can customize your account and you can make it as unique as you want it too! It really does feel like a anime club's myspace website, in a good way!

A brand new video player with a brand new attitude!

The new video player is a HUGE improvement over the one you watch on the one you see right now, it definitely loads faster, and if I say the quality looks better as a whole. While it is definitely not HD quality, it is good enough to match average Crunchyroll quality, and I am sure once the premium memberships start up, we will get some even better quality! (PS. Can't wait to start watching new One Piece episodes on this video player!)

 The coolest thing on the site as I have said before is the community, and the community is great! There are many you can do first off, you can hang out at the forums, which look a lot like the forums on Funimation.com today, but are revamped and look better than ever! It is sorta the type of thing you need to see to believe! Also on the community page, there is really cool cosplay and fan art pics to look around at! Very cool for those who like that sort of thing!

Other things in the site include a TV page detailing what Funimation currently has on the air(Dragon Ball Z Kai on Nicktoons and Toonzai and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood on Adult Swim), and they also have area similar to the FUNi blog today where they post video's from their "work" like "Hey! Nice Package" and Con panel's.

Overall, the site is looking to have a bright future and I can't wait too see what FUNimation cooks up next for it!
