Anime: Post Marineford Arc- Episode 505

Don't get booh-ed! Watch the newest One Piece episodes on OnePieceOfficial.com

First Thoughts
Oh my! I don't care what anybody says. I truly believe that the anime is better then the manga. It is episodes like this one that makes me really love the anime. It is times like this where the anime takes what they are give and then improve upon it ten times. The manga is good and all but the anime just knows how to take it and fill in the blanks and shine the good parts even more.

Also I got a lot of screencaps of Makino. That is always good....I don't have a problem!

Also lots of StrawHat crew images. Wow.....

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 487

We all watch One Piece at OnePieceOfficial.com~! One Piece Official dot com~!

First Thoughts
In the town where I was born~,
Lived a man, who sailed the seas,
And he told~ us of his life,
In the land of submarine~,

Enough of that. I am sure that many of you know why I am singing that song but incase you don't know the song then take a listen to Yellow Submarine by The Beatles.

This episode did have it low moments but when the show was on a high moment it really was really high! So many great things happen that would make any One Piece fan squeal in excitement. We had Crocodile being awesome and such an great ending to the episode. What more can we ask for? Well beside pacing things that something fans asks for a long time. Still a fun episode.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 483

First Thoughts
Mikey: So here we are. After so many long years, One Piece has finally seen it's first real time death. Some people may say that we have seen death in real time but really this is the first real time death of a character that we knew. A character where the overall objective was to save him and along the way we saw some development via flashbacks and appearances.

Kind of hard to put what I want to say in words. This was an amazing episode that had an ending that left me speechless. Just like the last few minutes where there was no music playing to create silence, so was everybody else who were watching this episode.

To join me in this post I have Neku and Sora. Say hi guys.

Superneku: Hi everyone.

Sora: 'Sup.

Mikey: Also I guess the opening image for this post is a bit strange but I wanted to use the same scene that was used for the manga post which was done almost a year ago. Still for now sit down as we try to go over the events of this episode.

First Thoughts
OH MY GOSH! I was smiling so much in the first half of this episode! Just seeing Luffy and Ace together made me so happy. Everything about the first half of the episode was perfect and I enjoyed every moment of it! This was the best way to end the year for One Piece. I felt tears of happiness after watching last week's episode and that happy feeling continue on from the first moment when I saw Ace and Luffy (with Mr. 3) floating in the air in the tunnel of flames.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 477

Don't Struggle with watching One Piece! What it first on OnePieceOfficial.com!

First Thoughts
Not much on the first thoughts for this episode. This episode had a lot moments that were good like the beginning and the end...I think...I don't have much to say off the top of my head right now.

I do have the feeling that the animators didn't do something to that is kind of important. Then I went to look at my copies of Shonen Jump to find out that what I was thinking was in a different chapter that is later on.

So let get to the meat of the post and hope that Mikey has more to say there.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 475 (Late)

Oh no! Is this the end of Portugaz D. Ace? Has Luffy lost? Will these dudes ever go faster than Slo-Mo?! What is going on?! Better check it out at OnePieceOfficial.com before you freak out any further.

First Thoughts

First off: Sorry this is so late, time issues and so fourth. Second: This is here because I loved this episode so very, very, very much. Oh wow, this episode…it just was phenomenal. Not only because I had forgotten what happened here, but how the animators portrayed the action, the timing, the responses…it was fantastic. Truly a great episode, of course, that isn’t saying much because I have been preaching that for almost every episode in Marineford, haha.

Still, what a fun episode. Crocodile does some fun stuff with sand (don’t try this at home, kiddies), and my *sighs dreamily* fav villain Doflamingo starts to duke it out with the Croco-Gator. I liked it even more because I never saw the end of their fight, so it makes seeing it start up all the more exciting knowing how close I am to the part I stopped reading at.

Don't stop watching! New One Piece can be found first on OnePieceOfficial.com

First Thoughts
The other title for this episode was going to be "How to be a Douche by Borsalino 'Kizaru'". Damn that Kizaru. He is such a damn troll. How much of a loser must you be to attack a man when he is down and can't attack back. What a damn loser...I go more into it later.

This episode was kind of slow really. The filler parts were bad and the action parts were slow. It felt forever to get though at some parts and clearly you can see where they were padding out the episode with long drawn out scenes. Not as bad as it was with Hancock's daydream from a few episodes back but still a bit painful to watch.

First Thoughts
This was an amazing episode. This episode was tense from beginning to end. Then to help with the tone of this episode there was greatly animated scenes that looked good throughout the whole episode. This episode had me on the edge of my seat for most of the time and I was surprise when the eyecatcher came up since it didn't seem to be half way though the episode.

One difference between the manga chapter that this episode was based on was that I thought that the manga chapter was a bit funnier. In the manga I remember seeing a part where Luffy tries to go over the encircling wall by using Gum Gum Rocket but then get shot down as Jimbei and Ivankov were watching. That was funny to watch but it seems like it was cut out during this episode. Then again if that was included in the episode then it would have taken away from the serious tone of the episode.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 472

Don't panic! You can watch the latest One Piece episodes on OnePieceOfficial.com!

Thoughts
So many face shots in this episode! More face shots then you have toes and fingers. Kind of crazy in the amount of face shots and how long they last. Then again they had to find a way to past time in order to fill a twenty three minutes time slot which they did a good job of since every shot looked really nice.

Also I think with this episode we at the blog have created a new tag featuring the popular Marine admiral Akainu. This would be the moment where I mention that we need a tag for Aokiji but it seems like somebody went ahead and created one called 'Aokiji Greatness' which is okay with me. haha

First Thoughts

This was a great follow-up to last week’s great hoard of insightful information in my opinion. About halfway thru the episode we finally, after ages and ages, get to see the action begin as well! I was so happy and excited when it began finally. I must admit though, as long as they keep the bad animation to a minimum, the animators could really do wonders with this huge scene. Of course, I noticed them using some cheaper animation for a lot of parts, and this is becoming more and more common, but I figure that as long as it is used in moderation, it is alright.

Anyway, they really got through a lot of the plot here. A brief few scenes from Ace’s flashbacks last episode near the beginning, a huge revelation as to Whitebeards extraordinary powers, and one step closer to having Luffy and the escapees arrive at the battle, all in one go! A great episode. I must admit though, I am still very unsure as to when exactly Luffy and them will arrive. The procession has been strange, so I am very in the dark as to a time-episode estimation. The ending to this episode was great, the action between fighters was really exciting. The first big battle we’ve seen since Thriller Bark, and even there is was really just zombies. All-in-all, I was expecting a lot, and I received it.
