Anime: Straw Hat Reunion Arc- Episode 521

The face of the next King of the pirates is only on OnePieceOfficial.com.

First Thoughts
One of the most enjoyable parts of the episode is the Marines. Though they brought Pacifistas, which I do not support; this was one of the few times the Marines fight truly “bad” pirates. Another memorable scene I enjoyed was of Sentomaru’s speech about Luffy. I didn’t expect that he would defend Luffy’s honor as he did, because he is Luffy’s foe. Because of this action, Sentomaru reminds me of Smoker.
The idiocy of the fake Straw Hats is frustrating, and I am certainly glad to be rid of them. Another excellent scene of the episode was when Sentomaru called out the imposter, and everyone was shocked. Sentomaru is no fool, and I should have expected no less from his sharp mind. He has fought Luffy before.

Anime: Post Marineford Arc- Episode 511

Be cool like Raleigh! Watch One Piece on OnePieceOfficial.com!

First Thoughts
Alright Rayleigh. Alright. You are cool now. You are cool. You used to be some old dude for whom I did not care much. Still, if you are going to shoot bullets at cannonballs and the cannonballs explode in midair, then you have my seal of approval. This little moment made me a believer in Rayleigh.

This episode is proof that the anime production can introduce entertaining filler material. I never really had a problem with filler material. As long as the material is not outlandish or it does not last too long, then it is okay. One Piece seems to avoid extraneous filler material, which is positive for the continued appeal of the series. In this case the material expanded upon the manga’s depicted plot .

Also we got to see Rayleigh do cool things. That is always nice.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 472

Don't panic! You can watch the latest One Piece episodes on OnePieceOfficial.com!

Thoughts
So many face shots in this episode! More face shots then you have toes and fingers. Kind of crazy in the amount of face shots and how long they last. Then again they had to find a way to past time in order to fill a twenty three minutes time slot which they did a good job of since every shot looked really nice.

Also I think with this episode we at the blog have created a new tag featuring the popular Marine admiral Akainu. This would be the moment where I mention that we need a tag for Aokiji but it seems like somebody went ahead and created one called 'Aokiji Greatness' which is okay with me. haha

Anime: StrawHats Separation Arc- Episode 421

First Thoughts
Well umm...Hmm...My first thoughts....Well I knew it was going to be funny. I mean the Brook part at least. The Zoro part I knew I was going to laugh but not as much as the Brook part. There was Perona but I knew that she would be doing something to Zoro but wasn't sure what. Still my money was on Brook being the funniest part since well...it is Brook. He kind of more comic relief right now then anybody else in the crew.

Though I had no idea on the ending. Totally didn't see that one coming.

Well yeah. My First Thoughts for this episode are lame. Either I am tired out from school today or just not much on first thoughts on this episode. Maybe the rest of the post will be better.

Amazon Lily Arc- Episode 417

First Thoughts
So we get to the episode where we get all sad. Luffy is leaving Amazon Lily with Hancock and all. I really don't like the picture I choose for the opener blog post. It doesn't feel right. I really had no thoughts going into this episode. I was kind of just happy to watch this episode five minutes after it was made live on the simucast.

There is one thing that I like to say about this episode. For some reason I had the song (or more like verse) "Love is a hurricane!" in my head for half of the episode. I can't remember the name of the song but I do know it exist! It is because of the title of this episode! "LOVE IS A HURRICANE!"
