First Thoughts
Brook has really been playing up the rock star personality. I guess that when you are a rock star, dumping a bottle of water on yourself is normal. This must have been portrayed in a different show but I can't remember where. Either way, this was clearly a Brook episode.

This episode had other noteworthy moments but Brook was the focal point. You did see a scene featuring Caribou’s brutality and some awesome moments with Franky but those moments weren’t the first things I remembered about this episode.

Whatever the reason, Brook the Rock Star was the reason why we watched this episode.

Anime: Post Marineford Arc- Episode 508

First Thoughts

Well, I was really sad (for personal reasons), because I got interrupted while just starting this episode, so I had to wait a few extra days before getting back to it. So sadness there on my part while having to wait on such a good thing. On the other hand, I have given this episode an honorary title: Being Mean to Old-Dudes. First with Nami especially…but then even Franky was mean a bit too…but I have decided that I really like all of the old-dudes in this episode. Yup, I love all of the old, wizard-dudes on Weatheria now. They are so sweet and awesome~ And that Kitton kid’s grandpa is really nice too~ Yay~! Seeing Vegapunk’s laboratory was, in a word, an honor. It really stuck me though, and I am not quite sure on how to feel about the end of the episode right now though.

Oh yeah, and I checked out what Mikey started last week for the new format on the Posts, and I wasn’t quite sure how to re-create that in my own way yet, so I just tried my best with it. Okay~

One Piece More: Email Time

First Thoughts
You got to say that Toei Animation did a good job in creating a story on just two single paneled stories. These two things were based on just two panels so it is impressive that something was weaved out of them. Both were good in their own right as we saw that we got some information out of one of them and the other we just got some funnies. I would have liked more fanservice but we can't all win. Heck we didn't even get Bishonen Luffy! I wanted Bishonen Luffy! It could have been in the beginning when Jimbei was looking at Luffy. It would be a bit creepy coming from Jimbei but at least it is something.

Also some news related to the blog side and next week's anime post. Due to me being at AKon, things happening in real life, and my mental and physical well being after the con, we will be having a guest blogger to do next week's anime post. I am going to have a huge con hangover for sure when I get back from Akon and instead of forcing a possibility bad anime post I thought it be best to do this instead. Also I am going to try to get the AKon con report sooner then I did the AnimeMatsuri one so not doing the anime post may actually help speed things up. Same thing for the manga post next week too. So you guys are in for a treat since you won't have to deal with my post and actually get to read a post made by people better then me! haha

Anime: Impel Down Arc- Episode 452

First Thoughts
Did I say last week was the last episode of the Impel Down arc? Meh...Forgot that an arc doesn't end until we have the party which was in this episode. Also it helps in the naming of the arcs for the blog post. haha Don't want to say this is part of Marineford then change the arc name for the post in the next anime post. Yay for laziness!

This was a good episode. It wasn't the super best episode that we have seen but the episode was good at what it was suppose to do. It was suppose to keep us entertain until we get to Marineford for whatever awesome will happen there. Though there was this one part in the episode that I know was too dragged out and I am sure everybody else notice it too.

Another thing about this episode is all the Pandaman that we got. It is usually hard to spot the black and white faced man but he was just all over the place. I am guessing the animators wanted to make up for all the times they may have forgotten about him or just wanted to go crazy with the Pandaman-ness.

StrawHats Separation Arc- Episode 418

First Thoughts
I was wondering how the cover pages referring to the StrawHats activities while being separated was going to be done. Was it going to be done by the eyecatchers? Was each member of the crew going to get a whole episode each? Were they going to ignore it completely? Seems like I was wrong all together because: A)These moments into what Nami and the others were doing were actual chapters. I thought they were just cover pages were just cover pages. Apparently they were chapters that were then later done as cover pages. B) They got half an episode each.

Well we have started StrawHats Separation Arc now starting with Nami and Franky. I went into here expecting Nami to be somewhat serious and some tears. Then Franky was going to be pure funny. That is reasonable to expect right? Well to the meat of the blog!
