Thoughts

This is the chapter that everybody has been waiting for. The chapter where all the toys are returned to being humans (or animals for some) and chaos is let loose upon Dressrosa. The first real sign that Doflamingo is losing control over the kingdom and his base of operations. How does it feel to see this finally happening?

Great.

After what felt like a long series of chapters that had things that I dislike, this chapter was refreshing. Everything in it just felt right and great. It was a major payoff after all the build up of the horrible things Doflamingo has done so far. The threads of his string is slowly becoming unraveled with the lost of his personal slaves. Now the darkness of the kingdom has finally come to light and judging by the panel below, there are a lot of people who wants Doflamingo's head.

"Ekk! My fluffy doll turned into a gross man!"

Are things coming to an end?

We certainly have hit the climax. Things are going to go down really fast and it won't end with Doflamingo's head on the ground. Surely, seeing Kyros as living proof that Sugar's spell upon the toys has been broken has taken Doflamingo by surprise. He was shocked that his smug look was literally swipe off by a sword to his neck.

Doflamingo isn't done yet. It would be very anticlimactic if Doflamingo was knocked out by Kyros's attack. I expect that we will see more of Doflamingo's powers being revealed in the next chapter. Will we find out that the String-String Ability is a Logia type? We have had stranger things be consider Logia before. Does the String-String Ability grant the user some type of "String of Life" ability? I don't know. Must all threads be cut in order to remove a limb? Lets just go watch some Kill la Kill to figure this one out.

Stuff is going to go down!

Where things will go from here?

I see a lot of things happen including things going out of control if the friends of "Luffy's brother" are any indication.

In just one chapter, the Doflamingo forces have been outnumbered on all sides. There are the Straw Hats, Tontatas, Revolutionaries, and Ex-toys who all sound like they hate Doflamingo. The Ex-toys look to be revved up to fight. While they may end up being fodder, it is going to cause some trouble for the Doflamingo underlings. The Tontattas don't have much fight in them left but I am sure they will cause some trouble once they free their fellow Tontattas in the factory. We don't know how many Revolutionaries are in Dressrosa but if Sabo is anything like Luffy in strength and an unknown then things are going to go crazy in the underground. Last, two Straw Hats who are know to cause damage doesn't equal good times.

What does Doflamingo has? A group of underlings who may end up being overpowered and unprepared for what has happen. They took over the kingdom using trickery. Now they have a whole kingdom ready for a revolution.

The gray area right now is where the Marines fall into all of this? Will Fujitora side with Doflamingo or come to the aid of the people? Clearly the people have been victim to Doflamingo's string of evil. He may think that it is best to just keep the people of Dressrosa safe from the crossfire between the people against Doflamingo and Doflamingo forces.

This chapter gave us what we all have been wanting. The question is where do things go from here? Sit down and enjoy the ride because it is going to be bumpy.

Share you feelings about this chapter in the comments. Until next time true believers.

This looks familiar. Like something that Doflamingo did to Crocodile during Marineford...

  1. Agree 100% It's amazing how a single chapter of payoff makes all the buildup totally worth it.

As for Doflamingo's beheading, I've heard a few rumors. Perhaps Pica (the stone guy) showed up at the last second and shifted Doflamingo with a stone replica. Or perhaps Doflamingo used his String Abilities to controlled Law to cut his head off without killing him.

It would also be cool to see the Pirates who were turned to toys get their revenge at the factory. I'm pretty sure Don Chinjao or even Cavendish would be more than a match for Trebol.
