Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 477

First Thoughts 
Not much on the first thoughts for this episode. This episode had a lot moments that were good like the beginning and the end...I think...I don't have much to say off the top of my head right now.

I do have the feeling that the animators didn't do something to that is kind of important. Then I went to look at my copies of Shonen Jump to find out that what I was thinking was in a different chapter that is later on.

So let get to the meat of the post and hope that Mikey has more to say there.

One Piece More: Santa is Coming

So it is that time of year again. The time that I hate the most. The time of the year that I dread the most...The cold of winter!

The weather as of late was really nice though. It was around 70 to 80 degrees F which is very strange for November but it was nice because it wasn't cold. Then this morning it just gets cold! Went from what I think was nice warm weather to 40 degrees F. Just plain horrible and I hate it. Guess it is time to break out the blankets and such at night.

Anime: Marineford Arc- Episode 475 (Late)

First Thoughts

First off: Sorry this is so late, time issues and so fourth. Second: This is here because I loved this episode so very, very, very much. Oh wow, this episode…it just was phenomenal. Not only because I had forgotten what happened here, but how the animators portrayed the action, the timing, the responses…it was fantastic. Truly a great episode, of course, that isn’t saying much because I have been preaching that for almost every episode in Marineford, haha.

Still, what a fun episode. Crocodile does some fun stuff with sand (don’t try this at home, kiddies), and my *sighs dreamily* fav villain Doflamingo starts to duke it out with the Croco-Gator. I liked it even more because I never saw the end of their fight, so it makes seeing it start up all the more exciting knowing how close I am to the part I stopped reading at.

First Thoughts
The other title for this episode was going to be "How to be a Douche by Borsalino 'Kizaru'". Damn that Kizaru. He is such a damn troll. How much of a loser must you be to attack a man when he is down and can't attack back. What a damn loser...I go more into it later.

This episode was kind of slow really. The filler parts were bad and the action parts were slow. It felt forever to get though at some parts and clearly you can see where they were padding out the episode with long drawn out scenes. Not as bad as it was with Hancock's daydream from a few episodes back but still a bit painful to watch.

Manga: Chopperman (OP Spinoff) Preview

Because Mikey is too lazy to edit his last post and because he has no idea how to cover this. He decided to just make this it's own post.

So yes. Mikey is doing a post for a two page preview of a spinoff comic of One Piece featuring Chopper, the super marketing tool of One Piece (I say that with love).

First Thoughts 
This was an amazing episode. This episode was tense from beginning to end. Then to help with the tone of this episode there was greatly animated scenes that looked good throughout the whole episode. This episode had me on the edge of my seat for most of the time and I was surprise when the eyecatcher came up since it didn't seem to be half way though the episode.

One difference between the manga chapter that this episode was based on was that I thought that the manga chapter was a bit funnier. In the manga I remember seeing a part where Luffy tries to go over the encircling wall by using Gum Gum Rocket but then get shot down as Jimbei and Ivankov were watching. That was funny to watch but it seems like it was cut out during this episode. Then again if that was included in the episode then it would have taken away from the serious tone of the episode.

Con Piece: Escape to OniCon Mountain

During the weekend of October 29th-31st was when I took my escape from the stresses of school and work in order to have some anime fun. Though maybe that was the problem.

OniCon 2010 had some great guest there such as J. Micheal Tatum, Jerry Jewel, Carrie Savage and many more. Though there were a few issues with the convention itself. There were many concerns from myself and other congoers concerning OniCon. Still a good show was put on that many were able to enjoy. If one was looking for an escape from the everyday trails of life then OniCon was it.

First Thoughts

If (by self proclamation) last episode (472) was the best of the year, then this episode is surely within the top 5, if not in second place for the title. It was beautifully done, wonderfully drawn, the scenes went quickly and smoothly, the action was well done, it was surprising and terrifying, awesome and amazing, and it just plain kicked Beep. Oh yeah. I loved what everybody’s actions where, and what each of them separately did/how they reacted in the episode. Gorgeous scenes.
