Manga: Chapter 729 (SPOILERS!)

SPOILERS!

Its no tournament, but you're invited to read One Piece each week in Weekly Shonen Jump!
Welcome back everyone. Continuing from last time, Bellamy approaches Luffy to kill him (what a shock) in hopes of becoming an executive under Doflamingo.

But hes interrupted by an eager young man called Dellinger who was sent to kill Bellamy due to his failure, methinks Bellamy shall turn sides soon. Back on the iron bridge near Dressrosa, Law continues his battle against Doflamingo. Unfortunately, Law gets the snot beaten out of him after barely grazing Doflamingo.

I'm hoping this fight is extended in the anime

Diamante informs Doflamingo via Transponder Snail regarding Violet's betrayal but he knew already due to Sanji's sudden appearance. Diamante is ordered to send Lao G to the factory's entrance and to handle the entertainment at the arena himself. Hmmm...

Doflamingo has seemingly figured Law's plan out to distract him while the Straw Hats destroy the factory but is confused since even though Law seemingly "used them", he still had faith that the Straw Hats. Law simply answers, that "D" shall bring another storm...oh Oda, you and your D.

 WHAT IS "D" DAMMIT?!

Luffy meets with Zoro and Kin'emon and some Marines under Bastille overhear them talking so they figure out Zoro and Luffy's identities (because their disguises were just that good apparently). But they choose not to attack now since they could escape easily if a riot were to start.

Kin'emon contacts Sanji via Transponder Snail since now they're with Luffy, so now all the Straw Hats are in on this pseudo-conference call. All of them are now aware of the dwarves as well as Rebecca's situation.

Was nice to see Franky get a bit of development

Franky in particular, is eager to go against their original plan since he sympathizes with the dwarves and wants to expose the true darkness underneath Dressrosa. With this in mind, Sanji decides that he and his group shall return to Dressrosa and Luffy gives the go-ahead to go all out and that they'll join up soon enough.

All of a sudden, buildings are being dessimated and and explosion occurs! What is going on? Doflamingo's battle with Law is seemingly over as Law lies on the ground bleeding while Doflamingo aims his pistol. The chapter ends with Doflamingo shooting Law, much to everybody's shock (notably Luffy).

Millions of fangirls are crying out in pain

Things are continuing to come together if this chapter is any indication what with Bellamy's inevitable betrayal, the Straw Hats starting to come together to finally destroy the factory and the quite shocking cliffhanger. Not to mention the various other plot threads that need to be unraveled.

Whether Law being shot will cause Luffy to go all out on Doflamingo or stick to the factory business remains a mystery for now. I'd be even more shocked if Law actually died from this but I don't think we're done with him yet.

Overall, this is still my contender for the best post-timeskip arc and I have a feeling that its only going to get even better from here folks. Until next time, have a good week!
