Manga: Chopperman (OP Spinoff) Preview

Because Mikey is too lazy to edit his last post and because he has no idea how to cover this. He decided to just make this it's own post.

So yes. Mikey is doing a post for a two page preview of a spinoff comic of One Piece featuring Chopper, the super marketing tool of One Piece (I say that with love).

Incase you didn't know. A new comic magazine is being produced by Shueisha called Super Strong Jump (Saikyo Jump). This magazine will feature a few original manga works but several spinoffs of popular Weekly Jump series like One Piece, Naruto, Hitman Reborn and Toriko. Apparently today there was a two page preview of the Chopperman spinoff. Full details about Super Strong Jump can be found here.

Not much can be said about the comic since it is only two pages long and seem to be just an ad to buy Super Strong Jump when it is released. This little preview shows Chopper as a school doctor with Onion, Carrot, and Pepper. (Mikey had to be reminded of their names. HEY! He remember who they are...just not their names....Don't judge me!) Seems like Shueisha is hoping this kids manga will be a big hit among the people if they are expecting kids to be fighting over it like Onion, Carrot and Pepper did. haha Silly kids. Then the preview ends with somebody that is most likely Nami (who is playing the role of Principal) yelling at Chopper for giving the students weird mushrooms. That was kind of funny and I guess Nami yelling at people is always funny. haha Still personally I wouldn't take any mushroom from Chopper seeing what happen last time he gave one to somebody....Aww...Now Mikey is sad.

Chopperman has given off a somewhat decent first impression. In actually it isn't much of an impression. I am interested to show this to my little brother and see what he thinks of this since this magazine is being targeted to his age range. He may just like it because it has Chopper in it. Looks like the premise of Chopperman is Chopper is a school doctor at a school where the rest of the StrawHat crew would take up different different roles within the school or story as shown via Principal Nami. Kind of interesting I guess and makes me wonder if actual Chopperman with cap and all will be included. We see.

What are any of your opinions about Chopperman? Will you read it along with One Piece? What roles would you like to see the rest of the StrawHat crew (or other popular One Piece characters) play within this school?
