Summary
Caribou and his pirates come to the aid of the proletariat against Kaidou's minions.

Luffy gets chased by Cavendish and Chin Jao.

Burgess and Blackbeard talks and Luffy overhears them.

Luffy gets sneaked attack by the Prisoner Gladiators and Rebecca but overpowers them.

Thoughts

Oda brings in the funny with this chapter. There was plenty of small things to laugh about in this chapter after such an intense fight for the last few chapters. First you have Luffy in his duel with Cavendish where Cavendish will not be refer to as Cabbage. Then the Chin Jao family wanting to make amends with Luffy but Luffy has mistaken this as an attack. Lastly, this chapter end with Luffy fighting Rebecca while eating the whole time.

Though, the funniest part of this chapter was the reveal that Bartolomeo was a huge Luffy fan this whole time. Oda has been building him up as some tough character who wants revenge on Luffy for some reason but it turns out that he just admires Luffy's exploits. This is part of Oda's ability to inject humor no matter how menacing a character is by appearance.

Luffy is Mr. Popular today.

On a serious note, it looks as if Luffy is beginning to make a following for himself. How much longer until we will see Bartolomeo's words come true? Will Luffy actually be the one leading this new age? Luffy has already inspired Bartolomeo to leave for the high seas. This mirrors what Whitebeard and Roger did upon their death and Luffy isn't even dead yet.

Then, it looks like Mihawk's words from Marineford are coming back to remind us that Luffy can make friends even out of former foes as Chin Jao has promise allegiance to Luffy. Oda is slowly setting things up for what will be an epic grand battle once this story ends.
 

We finally receive the reason why Blackbeard wants to collect the Flame-Flame fruit. It was quite obvious when you think about it but the question is will he go about this fair. Blackbeard is slowly becoming the Anti-Whitebeard with first gathering the Tremor-Tremor Ability and Burgess acquiring the Flame-Flame ability will make it look even more obvious.

Another thing to note concerning Blackbeard. If his Transponder Snail is anything to go by, it looks as is Blackbeard has been working on his beard during the last two years. He still has that teeth problem though. 

And not a drop of food was spilled.

Lastly, we have the Prisoner Gladiators. This place has so many layers to it. We have these guys who fight til the very end and then we have the hidden factory. When will we get to that part? It is interesting to hear that things were not always like this but it pales in comparison that this Colosseum is a front for a factory that turns people into toys. If we had knew about these Prisoner Gladiators before finding out the location of the factory then the impact would have been more. Now I just want to get to the factory part or the next round. Either one will be fine at this point. 

The question to ask here is, what is next and can we just get to the climax. Oda is building up to something and the humor in this chapter was much needed. It just that I have a feeling that we are in for a big climb before things start going down. Things are coming together but we do not have everything tied together and there is still one more round left in the tournament and characters from the Doflamingo family who have not yet been explored.
