Show Me Your One Piece- Winners

Does anybody wear one piece swimsuits in this series?

So after a month of accepting entries and hours of thinking. We finally have two winners from our 'Show Me Your One Piece' contest. I have to say this was pretty fun since we all saw One Piece merchandise that we have never seen before. You can say that there are now things on our 'want' list now. What really got me happy was the fact that people are buying the One Piece DVDs that Funimation has been releasing. Just some proof that people are buying the DVDs and want more of them.

Judging was based on a point system. Certain type of items had a point value. Anything that was made in America had a bit higher value since a point of this contest was to show support for the American side of One Piece. The other point was to show your support of One Piece and have some fun. There was a category which helped us add a few more points to scores if we saw something that looked really good but couldn't fit in anywhere else. Kind of us rating what we saw you can say.

Now to the surprising results.

Second Place- Carlson
Coming in second place was reader Carlson. This guy was a strong contender for first place and we really thought he would have won. Above is a small piece of what Carlson has which includes a lot of Japanese merchandise. Personally I liked his Crocodile POPs. Still all of Carlson's collection of figures were really impressive.

Above are even more of Carlson's collection that he submitted into the contest. If anything then Carlson deserves major applause for owning some of the much more interesting things as seen in the bottom right hand picture.

All the Japanese merchandise really helped Carlson rack up the points. His stuff was really impressive and he did a good job in displaying it considering how much stuff he had.

First Place- JC
JC really came from behind and won this contest thus giving him the first place spot. He really had a good blend of both American and Japanese One Piece merchandise. Some of the interesting things here were the patches that Funimation has release while owning the Japanese Blurays of some One Piece movies. Those I heard cost a good amount of money.

JC's manga collection really pulled though for him. It gave him the edge he needed to gain the lead and eventually won him first place. Owning all 53 volumes that have been release in the US (at the time) is really impressive especially for me.

The collection that JC shown us really is something that we really wanted to see. An American One Piece fan that owned a lot of the merchandise release in the United States. The Japanese stuff is great but having both is a plus in our book.

Highlight
This entry from Tsubame which gain our approval for best presentation. Seems like the US will be visited by the StrawHats pretty soon.Well I would like to let them know that we will welcome them with open arms.

This is as close to a one piece swimsuit we will get.

We here at the blog will like to thank everybody that submitted an entry to our first contest. We enjoyed looking at every submission. This was a fun thing for us to do and I hope it was fun for you guys too. Hopefully we will be able to do more of these in the future and I hope that you guys will be eager to take part in them.

Mikey's Note: The winners will be contacted though email to handle the 'paper work'. Congrats again for winning and thank you.
