Manga: Chapter 619 (SPOILERS!)

Things are picking up from last time as Zoro has managed to slice Hodi and everyone is in shock at the sight (who wouldn't be?) and Zoro rises up to the surface as Neptune says they have to leave right now as the palace is flooding. Neptune manages to attempt a fighting move known as Ultra Marine which is a Merman Karate move that actually pulls back water and fires it in a kamehameha-esque blast and blows Hodi's goons away, he hurts his back though poor guy. This allows for a distraction so King Neptune, his servants and Zoro, Usopp and Brook to leave safely, unfortunetly on of Hodi's henchmen manages to give him one of those drugs the crew used before....that can't be good. They manage to get out but since Neptune is old and frail he can't go on anymore but luckily his pet whale Hoe (...thats not a very kid friendly name XD) comes and Neptune plus the Straw Hats holds onto Hoe as they make their escape. While this is going on, Zoro is starting to run out of breath. Suddenly Neptune gets grabbed by someone and is pulled off of Hoe (along with the Straw Hats) and it turns out to be Hodi who now has those same rage-filled eyes Arlong had when he had his fight against Luffy...and its still scary. Neptune tells the servants to go on without him and to get Fukaboshi and his followers, not wanting to disobey their King they do as they're told and leave. We leave these guys this chapter with Neptune, Zoro (who is now desperately drowning), Usopp and Brook (who is now unconcious due to his Devil Fruit curse) being captured by Hodi and his goons.

Meanwhile; Luffy, Shirahoshi, Chopper, Sanji and Hachi have all arrived at the Sea Forest. Luffy spots Franky and he and Shirahoshi make their introductions (as Scaredy Cat, not the Princess thanks to Luffy XD). Franky tells Luffy that Robin had already made her way through here and was looking for something (for those who don't remember, shes looking for a Ponegylph). Jinbei also spots Luffy and says hello, Luffy is overjoyed to see him and Jinbei notices that the Princess is here with him....and makes the FUNNIEST FACE. It just throws me off when serious characters gets a face fault of their own. He also spots Hachi and is distraught over his injuries, while Sanji goes to be a perv to the Princess. But at least Sanji is back to normal....or as normal as he ever could be XD. Den also shows up and Franky introduces him to Luffy as Tom san's little brother...and yet Luffy thinks he's Franky's little brother......either Luffy needs to get the wax out of his ears or theres a japanese pun I'm missing here. All of a sudden, an axe comes flying towards Shirahoshi but Luffy kicks it down, I don't remember him throwing this but I'm assuming this is Vander Decken's doing. Luffy assures Shirahoshi she'll be fine and she blushes and says thanks (d'awwww).

Yay! Sanjis back to normal!....still a perv tho :P

Shirahoshi goes to her mother Otohime's grave and prays, because of Vander Decken's pursuits she couldn't even go to her mother's funeral and stayed in the tower for 10 years. Shira has a lovely moment when she cries a little, but does so while smiling and I think this is a touching panel. Nami and Keimi arrive and Chopper has managed to fix up Hachi's wounds, the situation at the palace has been explained and everyone is in distraught over the crew, King Neptune and Hachi's wounds. Jinbei suddenly apologises and says that this may have been all of his fault as he thanks Luffy while apologising at the same time because...our chapter ends with the revelation that 11 years ago that the head boss who set the horrid Arlong Crew into the East Blue was none other than...JINBEI!.....pardon my french but OOOOOH SHIT!

.....WAT A TWEEST!

My thoughts on this chapter are that we saw some great revelations/twists as well as some emotional moments from Neptune and Shirahoshi. Not only that but the pieces (no pun intended) are starting to come together but should be revealed more next time as we'll probably learn about Jinbei's reasoning for letting Arlong to ruin the lives of people in the East Blue, emotional moments/questions from Nami as well as what Hodi plans to do with Neptune and the other Straw Hats. Not to mention Robin's findings in the forest.

Lets hope these revelations as well as other questions are answered in the next chapter of One Piece! :D
