Manga: Chapter 557 (SPOILERS!)

!!!SPOILERS!!!

So we start this chapter with a flashbackwards to explain how Luffy got to where he was at the end of last chapter. I guess I was wrong. Very wrong about how Luffy and them got to where they are today. Turns out that it was all dumb luck. DUMB LUCK. In the purest of all forms. Luffy and them just happen get caught in the wave that Whitebeard made and happen to be on top of the wave when it was frozen by Aokiji. Then the frozen wave chipped and broke apart leaving Luffy and the group to fall to almost a watery death. Amazing! And very funny.

Only Luffy can do something like this. It seemed like he had a great plan! One that could actually work! I mean how often does this happen? Where Luffy actually has a plan that can actually be done and not some sort of two second plan made from air. Still some greater power thought it is better like this and they are right.

Did anybody know that Luffy is such a great talker? I mean look at how he was able to rally everybody up about his plan and saving Ace. Just by saying this:

If we all work together, we can do it!!!!

Everybody felt getting up and pushing the ship! Even Buggy. Now that was crazy.

Then when Luff was talking to Whitebeard. He just challenged Whitebeard in not only in becoming King of the Pirates but in saving Ace. Then there is what Luffy had said about Whitebeard. It seems like the old dude really felt what Luffy had said and understood that Luffy is more then just an idiot. He is a super idiot with a dream! He is the FUTURE!

....Oh this...? I bet it on a new age...

I guess Whitebeard saw what Shanks meant in that statement. Good thing too. Because it seems like Whitebeard is getting a bit old. I am not saying he is too old for the pirate game but you know. Tubes coming out of him and junk. Not usually a good sign. Still if you can keep dishing out hits and not complain then nothing to complain about there. Keep it up!

Still this chapter kind of disappointed me. I kind of was hoping that we will get to see some awesome battle scenes with Luffy doing something cool. Maybe the beginning of matches between Croc and Doflamingo. Buggy vs Some Marine person or Doflamingo. Something cool and impressive. Or beginning of fights or something. Still mostly we got were just Marines and some pirates reactions from Luffy and team entrance and the team itself. I did like Sengoku and Doflamingo.

"Grap! Is that another member of your family?!!!"

Yes. Yes it is. Though it looks like Grap is a bit worry. Here he has two of his grandsons on the front lines and risking their lives for each other. Then Grap is there on the sidelines refusing to take part in it. I am betting that once Grap sees his grandsons in danger then he will sweep in and prove to us why they call him the Hero of the Marines.

Luffy....! *Blush* It is such a relief to see you safe....!

Still this one from Hancock is great to see. Somebody loves Luffy! Somebody loves Luffy!

It seems like Wolverine is making an appearance in this week's new One Piece chapter.

IRM WOLVERINE!

I mean just look at the picture and inside the red box! The guy looks just like Wolverine from the hair to what he is attacking with. So what if they are not claws from his hands, they are long things that look like they are. Just photoshop the bottom part and he will be Wolverine. I guess this was picture of Wolverine was before he got that metal claws in his hands. Thought Wolverine got a lot of practice in before hands. Still Wolverine made it in just in time for Talk Like a Pirate Day. YOHOHOHOHOHOHO!

So we are left with two people who want the same things. To be King of the Pirates and to save Ace. Both are willing to do anything that is needed, even give up their lives to save Ace. The factors that may determine who will get what they want will depend on if one of is willing to give up their dream and if they can survive. Because on the other corner we have Kizaru, the ruthless admiral who just got order to 'execute' all intruders. Guess we have to wait till next week to find out.
