Manga: Chapter 558 (SPOILERS!)

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!

I got to say this is what I been waiting for! Finally we get into some fighting and have fist thrown by the guys that we been waiting for. I mean we been having some fighting before with Whitebeard, his guys and the Marines but now Luffy and his team are here. The boys are here and they are ready to give some butt kicking!

Before I go on. What the heck is Brook doing? It seems like he is writing a song. Aren't these guys that he with in a war with some other tribe or something? Looks like he is making a peace offering. I hope this tribe here isn't betting their livelihood on him. haha

Got to say that Luffy and Whitebeard are hitting it off nicely. I am not sure if they are trying to burn pages here by having Luffy telling Whitebeard about the Marines's plans to speed up Ace's execution and that they are preparing something but it seem to fit well here.

WOW! There is clearly a height difference between Luffy and Whitebeard here.

I am getting this a lot but for me that manga isn't completely for me. I can't tell if Luffy is going Gear Second/Second Gear or not. Either way, Kizaru is going after Luffy first. One kick and he is ready to go.

Kizaru vs Iva! There we have it! Our first match up between the Marines and Luffy's team. Got to say I didn't expect this match up. Still whatever Iva did to Kizaru, it was able to knock out or temporary made Kizaru out of action. Death Wink must be something important if it can touch Kizaru.

Still out of the oven and into the fire since it seems like Kuma is on Iva's tail.

I wonder, what is Kuma's motivation. Iva say that they were friends. I wonder what kind of hold does the World Goverment have on Kuma. I personality think that when Kuma was made into a Pacifista that they place some sort of bomb in him or a controlling device. That way if Kuma ever decides to turn on the World Goverment or the Marines then they can pull out the control and press the button. Them boom goes Kuma. Sucky way to die but I see it is possible. That may explain why Kuma is seen more loyal to the World Government compare to the other Warlords of the Sea. Though I guess there is some leeway since they haven't pulled the trigger on Kuma yet. Either that or it was a PX Pacifista that attacked Iva.

Luffy vs Hina. Fail! haha That was awesome. I mean I love what Luffy had said.

I'm sick of being locked up!!!

Then right into Second Gear! Luffy sped away and completely allowed Hina to lock up her own men. Then we get to hear her say, "Hina fail!!". haha Awesome.

Got to say, being in Impel Down seem to have an effect on Luffy. Still I guess nobody would like to hear 'lock up' after being in an infamous prison.

Moria vs Jimbei.

Interesting pair up too but makes complete sense. Apparently Jimbei has some sort of control over water and that is perfect in countering Moria's zombies. If we get to see this fight play out then it be interesting to see what Moria will pull out in order to fight against Jimbei.

I can see that Luffy keeps his opinion Moria. The guy is annoying even from where I am sitting. The guy has a ton of zombies and likes to keep himself away from the main fight. Moria had to let his guard down and have his ego inflated in order to give Luffy and chance to hit him.

This arc here seem to have a lot of flashbacks and touching moments. Eh? Look at the memories that Ace has and how he doesn't want Luffy to get involve. I can understand where Ace is coming from too. He is watching all of his friends getting hurt before his eyes while he can't do anything about it. It has to be worse then death to see all of your friends hurting before your eyes. I would be telling them to run away too. Then envision seeing your family going after you and doing the same thing. I can see why Ace would rather die then to witness what is going on before him. Though it seems like Luffy doesn't care about anything and just going to go forward into this madhouse anyways. Apparently blood is thicker then water. Well maybe that is wrong in this situation but Luffy made it clear not too long ago about his brotherhood with Ace. Family stick together and if one is in trouble then somebody needs to do something to help.

Speaking about family, seems like Garp is going though a family problem. Garp literally looks in pain to watch his grandson fighting though hoards of Marines while the other is on his execution bed. The guy looks torn up. I am not going to be surprise if Garp just gets up and yells out loud saying something that is is tired of this junk. I am so waiting and hoping that Garp does something. Garp is smarter then he seems and knows that he may not be able to hold a flame against Sengoku. Still eventually what Luffy is saying and what is going on with his grandsons are going to overcome that reasoning. When that happens I am going to be on the edge of my seat.

Now we will take a moment to introduce a new segment to this blog post.

IRM WOLVERINE!

IRM WOLVERINE!

It seems like Oda or somebody has a Wolverine fetish or something. haha This is the second chapter in a row that I see Wolverine (or somebody that looks like Wolverine) in the manga. The guy has no head so I can go by his hair to help prove that he is Wolverine but look at his hands. His hands are balled up in a fist and something that looks like claws or something are coming out of them.

We now return you to your regular schudule program.

And everybody finds out that Luffy is related to Dragon. Well amazing as it sounds to the One Piece world, it sounds lame to me. haha Maybe it is because we knew this since forever so when it is made public in the One Piece world then it loses appeal.

Though I love Hancock's expression.

Even if you're the son of demons. I still ... heart

Haha Now that is love there. True love. haha

Now you know that Luffy is serious about this fight. He activated Gear Third and used it to take out a giant(?). We all know that Luffy knows what happens when he is done with Gear Third. Still Luffy is willing to use it in this major and important fight. It sounds like something stupid to do at first since once Luffy is done then he gets 'deflated' and is all chibi-like. Luffy will be vulnerable to attack. Still Luffy is willing to put all or nothing in this attack to save Luffy. Let just hope that it comes out better for Luffy then it did for Oars Jr.

Marco...I won't forgive you if you let that boy die!

Now that is one impressive line of text. Just one sentence and yet so powerful. This here is Whitebeard's faith in Luffy. He knows that this kid here is something powerful and means every word that he said about Ace. Whitebeard knows that Luffy knows that Ace isn't his real brother. Yet Luffy here is willing to risk it all. His dream. His friends. His life. Just to have the chance to rescue Ace. Whitebeard is sending out his top man to help Luffy out and to give him the chance he needs to rescue Ace. Nice.

And Luffy is going to need Marco pretty soon. Luffy activated Third Gear and we all knows what happens after Luffy activates Third Gear. Time for Chibi Luffy and who knows how long this will last. Let hope that Marco is up for whatever Luffy has going after Third Gear is deactivated.

Or maybe going Third Gear and becoming small is all part of Luffy's grand plan?....Or in other thoughts. No. Nevermind...

Also I just thought of this but is any of the StrawHats watching this? Apparently this fight/execution is being reported all over the world. So that means there is a chance that a StrawHat is watching this fight right now. Wonder what they are thinking.

Still overall. This chapter was exactly what I been waiting for. We are getting back into the fights and with the people that we want to see. Two of the major threats are being engaged right now. Luffy has a bench fill with prisoners from Impel Down the the Marines still have some arms on them. I can't wait to see what happens next week.
