Manga: Chapter 609 (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
Let us look forward to a new year filled with new adventures.
Celebrate the new year with Viz's One Piece

Well this is a suprise guys, I didn't expect the new chapter to be up this early but here it is. But as an important notice I shall remind people that the chapter after this one will NOT be up for another 2 weeks since Jump is on break. But lets end out the year with our continuation of the Fishman Island Arc.

We begin with Sanji's continous perverted nature by flocking amongst the mermaids, but the others are relieved since at least he's not getting nosebleeds again. Chopper in particular is pleased since Sanji has a rare blood type (this is a plot point by the way). Luffy informs Keimi that he needs to meet someone in particular on the island while they're here. He of course means our big blue friend Jinbei, remembering the promise they made 2 years ago to meet here. Unfortunetly he isn't on the island right now, since he stopped being a Sea Warlord other members of the Fishman Pirates couldn't stay on the island anymore so they left with him. This is all we know so far as we are interrupted by a Royal Ship coming their way. The little mermaids are afraid that they may be after Luffy and the others so they hide them somewhere.

Aw no Jinbei? Rats!

Out of a royal gondola comes 3 princes of the Neptune House of the Ryuuguu Kingdom. They are called Fukaboshi, Ryuuboshi and Manboshi (they are all mermaids by the way, so male mermaids do exist, also they are the strongest in the kingdom apparently). Sure enough, they are checking to see if anyone came here by illegal enty, but they get convinced pretty easily that no-one came here. As they're about to leave Sanji unleashes the BIGGEST NOSEBLEED EVER due to being nestled in a mermaids cleavage....nice going you perv. This manages to expose the pirates and they start to panic. Hammond and his goons spot the Straw Hats also and consider ambushing them but they don't want to get caught themselves. Chopper tries to reason with the guards since Sanji is in danger by losing a lot of blood (his blood type is SR H- by the way....not sure what that means) but can save him if he can get blood donated from someone. Keimi informs Chopper that fishman and mermaids have the same blood as humans but Hammond exposes himself by shouting to the Straw Hats that it is forbidden to share blood with humans, he of course blames them since they outcast fishmen for a very long time including men like Fisher Tiger. Hammond tries to get the Straw Hats to come with him to his boss who is called Hodi Jones, they of course ignore him so Hammond has to use force against them.

Sanji's most perverted moment ever

Luffy teaches them a lesson with a good ol' Jet Pistol, a sea monster tries to attack Luffy but he calms it down with Haki as everyone stares in amazement...as do I still. Keimi arrives on the gondola fish and tells Luffy that there are lots of humans in the town port so maybe they can help Sanji. The guys hop on and they're off! Keimi tells them that its risky since the Straw Hats are actually the first humans to have come in a while, so there has to be something or someone scaring them off (most likely the New Fishman Pirates). The mermaids explain to the princes why they covered for the Straw Hats since they were friends with Keimi. Prince Fukaboshi says that they already knew who they were since the Straw Hats are very famous by this point. But the chapter ends with a revelation that the reason the princes came to find Luffy and the others was to give a message from Jinbei.

Damn you Oda and your awesome cliffhangers! >.<

So Sanji need to get blood back or else he'll die, the New Fishman Pirates are going to try and capture the Straw Hats and Jinbei has left an unknown message for Luffy. How will all of these events unfold? We'll find out next chapter, so we'll see you all next year for the first chapter of 2011!

  1. Oda's done well in 2010, didn't he? That genius! And with that cliffhanger, 2011 surely seems promising I hope.

I like that cover page. It's gorgeous.
