Anime: Post Marineford Arc- Episode 502

This is what One Piece is all about people. Oh yeah. OnePieceOfficial.com shows you the true side of the story.
First Thoughts
What can I say? Wow. Yes, this episode pretty much Blew My Mind with amazing-ness. So much epic rolled into a canon-y mixture of excitement and evil…wow. Although I posted this late, I have to say it is Way better than not at all. I consider this a high honor to have worked on this episode in particular. So many glorious things revealed, and the suspense still just continued to rise and rise! Fantastic. What else is there to do? Go. Watch. This. Episode. And all of the ones following this one. It is an episode worthy of getting people hooked on the entire series, or one that totally renews one’s own faith in the series. Trust me: you will never regret this.

Summary

Bracing himself for Bluejam’s bullet, Ace is suddenly saved by the appearance of Dadan and the gang of mountain bandits, who proceed to escape Bluejam’s trap with Luffy and Ace. Ace refuses to back down from the fight, and Dadan stays to fight Bluejam with the boy while the gang takes Luffy forcefully back to the safety of the woods and their hideout.
Meanwhile, Dragon has Ivankov create a safe passage for a lot of Grey Terminal denizens to escape the blaze. He then announces to them that if they help fight to change the world, they can board his ship and sail with them. Overjoyed with the thought of salvation, they all eagerly accept.

The next morning it is discovered that neither Dadan or Ace have returned to the hideout yet, which causes young Luffy to panic, but is unable to go search for them due to his severe injuries. The military and police begin to clean up what is left of the Grey Terminal, now a desolate wasteland of grey ash, with orders to shoot any survivor on-sight. Sabo awakens in a secluded alleyway of Edge Town to discover it is morning, and is soon caught by the military, and returned to his disapproving parents. His father tells him that he will be forced to live life as a noble, and be stuck in the house until he grows up and becomes one.

Thoughts
So, we (or I) finally get to see what happened to Ace when he was threatened at gunpoint…which deeply worries me seeing as he is Not made of rubber and would probably die…if we were not from the future and saw the date of his true death. Which still Sucks Eggs by the way. But, anyway, back to the freak with the jelly-jam name:

Hm…it looked for a second like a figure leaped thru the flames just before the shot of the sky was shown, and we heard the gunshot. Hm…I wonder who that is…either Sabo or Dragon is my guess, but I Highly doubt Dragon will be making any more appearances due to his severe enigmatic tendencies and nature. And his extreme awesome. Don’t forget that.

WOAH. Didn’t see that coming.

Gods, this is Awesome! Go Dadan, saving Ace all suddenly like that! Huzzah~ Ha, she called him a “sea cretin”. Haha! And I love the look on Ace’s face, it is all like, “Oh man, Dadan? What the freak?! That is so random!!” Love. It.
Bluejam is an idiot. Nobody fights an angry, maternal instincts-activated woman. Who is the only woman in a gang of mountain bandits. Who happens to be the Leader of said gang of mountain bandits. Who has a huge battle axe. Can’t forget the battle axe.
Yup, this is an epic face-off. I can’t wait to see them charge Bluejam and kick his sorry butt into the fire…haha, of course, it would almost seem like they are the sort who would rather turn tail and just-
OH! I totally called it~ They run. Hahahahahahahahahahahhaha! I Totally called it! Oh gods, this is hysterical!
Oh jeez…I would have figured Ace to be the kind who wouldn’t run…gods, Ace…this is not a good thing you are doing…doesn’t he realize that he is going to hurt a lot of people by not biting back his Pride and turning tail for once? Doesn’t he realize that his friends could be hurt if he doesn’t protect them, and himself? Darn it Ace, stop being such a tough little kid…
Ha, Luffy doesn’t get to fight. But…this is a serious commitment that Dadan has claimed…I really hope that she can pull this one off…plus, how do they expect to win against a dude with a gun when the headlong charge him with only an axe and a steel pipe…? Oh dear…
The heck?! This dude in the middle is just sitting down, cuddling a girly-bunnie doll…thing. Okay then…while everyone else panics about totally about to be consumed by the flames, that is. Which is rather reasonable.
WOAH. I So did not see that coming. For the second time this episode~ Hm…I wonder if that was Dragon’s power that opened a hole in the flames…I have been pondering his powers for some time…(obviously it is some sort of Devil Fruit) and I believe it may be the power over storms. Because, were that true, he could be in-control of hurricanes, tornadoes, lighting, rain, and all manner of other natural disasters. However…that would be a very huge, complex power. I am not totally sure on it yet…but, also, that was more of a blast of wind, right? And it was kinda…circular shaped? Almost like…an eye…or the Death Wink-

Oh jeez! Ivankov!?!? Wow…if he was still free at this time…he couldn’t have been in Impel Down for more than what? 10 years, right? Cool. I do like my historical time-frames. Makes sense though, it must have been a Death Wink by Ivankov then. Cool. I think it is fabulous that Dragon is trying to (hopefully) save these vagabonds’ lives after what the nobles have done to them. Really cool of the dude.

OH MY GODS!!!! IT IS KUMA~ Woah I SO did not see that one coming (3rd time now). I know that Ivankov said Kuma was his acquaintance back in the day or something, that they were friends, but…I never really got the total implied meaning to that…Kuma was part of the Revolutionary Army?!?! Gods, this is HUGE! Woah. I Love this episode now. Ha.
Woah…and I thought that Dragon just made a sudden, random appearance in his hometown or something…but an entire ship for some Revolution people too…this is a big deal. Gods, Dragon is throwing out all the ropes on this one, isn’t he? Hm…I fear that this situation will only get worse, however. If Celestial Dragons still are on the horizon…

Wow…those are some powerful words, Dragon. This is why Dragon is my number one favorite mystery character: since we don’t know a ton about him, he gets a special category~
I still don’t see why Dragon didn’t just bring Sabo away from this wretched kingdom. If I remember what happens to Sabo, then I don’t understand Dragon’s decision at all…

Ugh, what terrible parents. They don’t even sound the littlest bit Concerned about their son. Their tone of voice and talk just sounds like he is being a nuisance, or throwing a tantrum or something. Awful parents.

Oh. My. Gods. Why did the announcer just say that Ace and Dadan did not return from the Grey Terminal? WHY? Oh gods…
This scene with all the people the next day…all watching Luffy while he cries out for Ace and Dadan…aww! It totally would have made me cry, had I not been sleep-deprived. Aww!! Ace…

Wow…it is a wasteland…that is really a sad view…and weird too, how just…well, Normal everything is after the fire. Especially when you mix in the views of the normal folk below the Nobles who actually didn’t know about the fire, their reactions to the news. It is just a strange combination. I really want to feel more angered about it, but I don’t for an odd reason…maybe because a lot of people were saved by Dragon, or because I cannot blame the people who did not know and were innocent to the plan.
Still…Sabo might be able to find Dadan and Luffy…and whatever happened to Bluejam? I hope the guards don’t just shoot him on-sight…oh, they are passing his picture around. Well, his status as Nobility actually might keep him alive…for now…oh…
Oh Beep! They caught him already! Dang…that was really sudden…and kinda scary…gods, that was really fast…and it Felt weird…
Dang, there goes the idea of running away and living like Huckleberry Finn…beep. It is like Sabo is Tom Sawyer after finding that gold, and Ace is Huck Finn. Except, you know, lots more bad stuff happens to them.
His dad is suuuuuucckk~ I hate his dad~
Still, I cannot see why Sabo does not simply do as his dad says, and at least Pretend to care and follow along. If he really does study and learn and become as powerful as he can be as a noble, or politician or something, then he can just go and do whatever he wants when only a few years have passed. Right now he is too reckless, he needs to learn that if he takes advantage of his good heart and the position he has been given in life, that he could either change the way of this horrid society, or at least escape it later with greater knowledge and go join his friends again. He really should stop resisting, and just keep his hatred of his parents and the nobles inside him. He is too rash…poor Sabo…

Oh…Sabo...
I really do feel bad for him…having your entire life be decided, every detail by your parents and your social status…I suppose a lot of people in the world feel like that, if they were born into it like Sabo was, with a good heart and all. I know…of other people I know who feel this way. So I can understand Sabo’s feelings.
It is so weird…the guards don’t seem like too bad of fellows…but still, the Celestial Dragons…I just Know horrible things are about to happen. After all, things tend to get the most serious any even can get when this Type of person shows up…people who actually believe that they are “superior” to other humans…disgusting, sick, twisted…and terrifying.

Hm, it looks like Sabo is going to get out of the house during the huge festival for the Celestial Dragons…well, a good plan. That can leave him time to go look for…wait a second. Is that him getting on a boat? What the…a boat leaving docks…going to…the…OH GODS NO. Please please tell me Sabo doesn’t seriously believe that the Celestial Dragons…oh no…gods please don’t let Sabo be so easily fooled…if he believes that they are good people or something…oh good, his pirate flag. Maybe this means that he is just going to sail away and be a pirate early or something…please be it, please…
Oh good, he doesn’t care. He is just leaving the country…but wait…wouldn’t World Nobles be so stuck up that they would be super offended if a small ship just randomly passed them by? Irritated enough to just randomly…blow it out of the water? Oh dear…Sabo is so happy though, please don’t let this happen…
Of course. The BEEPING Celestial Dragon just HAD to go and do that. How did I know…but gods, what a horrifying way to end the episode…at least the World Noble freak didn’t shoot at Sabo’s head or something…maybe he…um, jumped ship? And he can get to the woods…maybe…
